Possible Park Hopping with FP+ Coming soon?

Not sure if this has already been debated to death, but this past Tuesday my husband and I went to MK and had 3 FP+ arranged. Our third was for late afternoon for POTC and after I saw the mob scene that was the FP+ return line spilling out allover Adventureland, we decided to just leave and go home. (We're APs and can just come back another day.)

When we got home my husband was playing on his iPhone with the MDE app, and was seeing what kind of FP+ were available for the rest of the day (curiously since the park had been such a zoo while we were there) and when he went into the system to try to change our 1 existing FP+ reservation, it allowed him to go to a different park than the one we had already used our 2 FP+ for earlier that day, and it allowed him to go so far as to choose a ride within that other park before the system gave an message of "Error. Cannot complete your request."

Do you think this is a sign that possible park hopping with FP+ is in the works? I don't recall being able to get that far within the system before in regards to two park FP+ availabilty searching.

I think the fact that they charge a good amount for Park Hopping is a sign that Disney will eventually allow FP+ hopping.

I really hope this happens! We love park hopping and this would be a fantastic benefit to have!
