Possible AP for after August 5? What do you think?

HI. Just wondering what your thoughts are for possible AP discount beginning August 5 Or 8? We are booked for August 8-16. Guess I'm wondering if I should book thru AAA or see if they come out with August 5 or later AP rates.....

I don't see that they will because of dates being so close together...what are your thoughts?

I hope they do release dates for this time frame, otherwise Universal may get my business for the week commecning August 18th

I think they'll be out in a few more weeks. Last year, on 6/8/06, they released AP rates for 8/6-8/26. That came just a few weeks after they announced AP rates for the earlier part of the summer. If I were you, I'd probably go ahead and book something with the AAA discount, just in case, but I'd be surprised if AP discounts didn't come out in early June.

Thanks so much....gives me hope! If I book AAA now, how hard would it be to cancel that reservation, to get the AP discount....of course, IF they come out! AAA only saves me about $220.00, based on last year's AP rates, I'd save more than that if I get AP.

Any ideas how hard it'd be to transfer over?

I feel pretty certain that AP rates will be released for August and September. This is value season and there has always been AP rates (and FL rates) for value season. Even last year when the free ddp was available for Aug/Sep, there were AP rates available too. Maybe we'll know more by June. So far after the release today, it seems that Disney is pretty much following the same pattern as last year (no monorail resort discounts, and only DVC and EPCOT resorts available--but some mod avail in July--new).
