I was at DLR last week and thought I'd post a review for Portofino Inn & Suites.

Pros:
Nice building/grounds
Interior Corridors
Very clean
Free Parking Garage
My kids loved the Kids' Suite
Didn't have a problem with noise
The walk was quicker than I thought it would be
Comfortable beds
Bath & Body Works toiletries
Separate shower/vanity
Flat screen TV on the adult's side
Refrigerator, microwave
Lots of storage space for clothing

Cons:
Room was a little smaller than I thought it would be
The Kids' Suite was separated by a sliding door with a sheer curtain, so it still needed to be dark and quiet on our side.
The towels were on the thin/hard side
No food - free or otherwise

Overall I was very pleased with this place. I was a little worried going in because I hadn't read many reviews for it and reviews on Trip Advisor varied greatly. We only had one problem while we were there. The light in the bathroom went out. They had it fixed by the next time we went back to our room, so they were very quick about fixing it. We didn't use the pool, so I can't comment on that, but we were really pleased with it. I would stay there again. Here are some pics:

(You'll have to excuse my son. He can't stand to have a picture taken and not be in it. ;)

Thanks so much for the review and the photos. The comforters look a bit warn and outdated?

How far was the walk to Disneyland? I read you could cut thru one of the Disney hotels. How about after a long day at the park? is the walk ok for a 7 year old?

Thank you again.

The comforters weren't bad. They didn't photograph well. They were a microfiber type material, so that's why they look worn.

The walk was probably about 15 minutes. I didn't time it, but that seems about right. No option to really cut through other hotels, but the walk really wasn't that bad. My 7 year old walked and only complained the last two days on the walk back after full days in the park. My husband put him on his shoulders for a few minutes, then he was fine. :)

Comfortable beds

Heya,

Can I ask if you could elaborate on this? We booked a room here for the fall, and my wife and I cannot stand squishy mattresses. Was the mattress firm, and do you remember if the pillows were soft, firm, etc.?

We just stayed one night at a place in Lake Tahoe over the weekend and we are both still in pain due to the horrible, soft mattresses there.

Thanks!
