Does anyone have a portable digital battery operated tv? If you do, how well does it work? I'm looking for one for hurricane season. We have a b/w 5" analog set that we've always used when the power goes out, but after June 12 it won't work anymore. We like to be able to see the radar and know when the weather's going to get bad. I saw Office Depot had a 7" set in their ad this week ($89.99), but they're out of stock.

I think that 7in one is the one my buddy has . We watched it the other day and it looked real good.

I have a 4in Casio that will be a doorstop here shortly as well. I have even tried E-bay and some HongKong stores looking for a digital convertor for it but nothing.

Good Luck finding one I just went to a Real small handheld Computer and might get a tuner for that .

I just realized they have rechargable batteries. That's not going to work very well if we don't have power to recharge it. Darn, they need to make one that uses regular alkaline batteries.

I did a search on this last night and found one but it is about $289 - just google 7 inch digital battery tv and you will find one digital with 10AA battery pack - I have the one from radio shack but it won't work after June 12th either so I am debating whether I want to buy a converter for it since we typically still have cable even when we don't have power, but I guess the converter will need power too. So I guess I will be saving up - the one on sale at CVS this week is a rechargable one so I didn't buy it. The ones at Radio shack seem to have rechargable batteries as well.

Do you remember where you saw the 10 AA battery powered tv? I've done several searches, but can't find it.
