Ok, now that I have decided on a moderate, I can't decide besides Port Orleahs and Caribbean Beach. I will be going with my DH and DD 7. I realize one resort is much bigger, but other than that...pros? Cons?

Thanks so much!!

The two resorts are similar in terms of building "lay-out" with each centered along a water feature. The buildings are "spread out" throughout each property and some buildings are closer than others to the check-in/restaurant facilities. If I were you, I'd look at theme and pick the one that appealed most to you.

POR Pros: This resort was updated last year and now offers 2 queen size beds in the room. Also there is additionlal free transportation with the boat to DDT. It's a great transportation alternative as DDT offers many dining choices plus shopping.

CBR Pros: Really great pirate themed pool that kids just love. Food court here is good. However this resort hasn't yet updated it's beds to queen, and offers 2 double beds.

You will have a great time at either resort. Enjoy your trip.

I don't think you would have a bad time at either....but if I had to pick....Port Orleans.

We have stayed at both and agree you can't really go wrong with either one. Having said that, we do prefer CBR. The main pool and food court are better at CBR. The grounds at both resorts are beautiful, but the tropical theme at CBR appeal to us more. Each village has it's own bus stop so you are never far from one. The only downside to CBR is the double beds, but even with that we still prefer CBR over POR.

We have stayed at both but CBR is our favorite. CBR is beautiful, colorful, and tropical. They have white, sandy beaches with lounging hammocks and friendly ducks. There are 7 villages with 7 different quiet pools in each village. The main pool is zero entry and wonderful. The food court has a lot of options and never seems crowded to us. The gift shop is also really nice. The CBR rooms are large with two double beds, double sinks, and lots of storage. The resort is large but to us that makes it seem like the resort is not very crowded. We have stayed in Martinique (preferred) when my daughters were small. Now we request either Jamaica 45 or 46 or Aruba 51. These villages are a short walk over bridge to the main pool, food court, etc. We have always had good bus service at CBR also.

POR is also a beautiful resort. We stayed in the Alligator Bayou section and this was very close to the food court and bus pick up area. The boat ride to DTD was probably my favorite thing about POR. The main pool is nice but not near as nice as CBR's (in my opinion). POR rooms are not as big as CBR's but they do have queen size beds where CBR does not. The food court was good but always very crowded. The bus service the week we were there was not very good and of course that is what I remember the most.

I think either way you decide will be wonderful. Good luck with your decision and have a great vacation.:)

We've only stayed at CBR and we loved it. The grounds are beautiful, the pool was great, and the bus transportation was great. With that said, POR looks like a beautiful resort. I agree with others that you can't go wrong with either one. Good luck.

I have never stayed at CBR so I can't comment about it. That being said, I love POR so much that I can't make myself try any other resort. The theming is absolutely stunning - especially walking through the mansion section at night. The food court is fantastic, arguably one of the best resort food courts. The boat ride to DTD is a wonderful added perk. I think you should just check out lots of pictures and choose the one that appeals most to you. I am sure they are all wonderful!:goodvibes

I've stayed at both, and I much prefer Port Orleans Riverside. The food court is worlds better than the one at CBR. Also POR has 3 less bus stops than CBR. To me, it made a big difference when going to the parks and coming back at night. At CBR it felt like you were on the bus forever before getting anywhere.

CBR is pretty, but it is huge. We were in a non preferred room, and I wouldn't do that again. It made my refillable mug all but useless. At night, after a long day in the parks, I didn't want to have to hike to the food court, refill my mug, and then hike back. Half of my pop would be gone by the time I got back to my room anyway! I ended up buying pop from the machine by my building.

Picking between the 2 POR gets my vote, no question.
