We'd like to stay in the Mansions. Which one would you recommend and why?

The last two times we stayed there in '06 we stayed in (95) Partrere Place. It was great, but next door is (90) Oak Manor. These two are real close to the bridge going over to the lobby restaurant etc. Oak Manor has a swimming pool with a laundramat however, and may be preferrable over Partrere as the day before our last night both times we went we let the kids swim while my wife and I washed clothes. Worked out great, no laundry when we got home.

I've stayed in every POR mansion over the years. My favorite is Magnolia Terrace. For one thing, I think it's the most convenient-just cut across the island pool area to the main building. The CMs told me that Parterre Place would be closest, but I thought it was Magnolia Terrace. Also, I thought Magnolia Terrace was by far the most beautiful. With the gazebo overlooking the river, I thought it was lovely.

We just stayed in Oak & part of it it very close to the bridge but the building is not the prettiest. I agree the Magnolia is a better looking building.

But Oak has the quiet pool with laundry that I used 2 times on a 10 day trip.

I LOVE this resort & will stay here on my next trip.

I also like Magnolia Terrace. My DH and I first went back in '98 (when it was still Dixie Landings) and stayed there. The room overlooked the parking lot, but we were never there so it didn't bother us. The best part was that it was literally a 1-2 minute walk to the bus stop from across the parking lot; that made it great after a long night! I'm hoping to stay there again this trip!

Thanks! I was looking at Magnolia Terrace because of the convenient location. I think this is the mansion I will request.
