Someone is hanging their laundry on a railing at Magnolia Terrace, on the second floor at the front of the building facing the river and the bridge. I am amazed that Disney allows that...maybe they have not noticed. New laundry appears on the same railing every day. It is an eyesore, and it is rude, IMHO. Others may differ, but I assume Disney would not approve of guests hanging their laundry outside their rooms. Oh how colorful POR would be if everyone did that!

Why don't you complain to a CM? Perhaps they are unaware. I'm sure they would discourage such behavior.

You should just swap everything round and move stuff.

You should just swap everything round and move stuff.

Take just one sock from a couple of pairs. It'll drive them nuts.

I would never do that - but in some countries it is common to dry your clothes outside you window and they don't use dryers much. So they might not realize that people here would think it was rude.

I can see how that would ruin the look of the theming.

When we were at POFQ this past May, few doors down on the 3rd floor building 5.... same deal... quite a few clothes draped over the railing plus 2 chairs always out by their door .... to us, it's tacky and inconsiderate..... Ruins the whole illusion of New Orleans....

They ship fairly quickly and it only takes a couple of days to arrive once they ship. We will be there on the 15th of Sept and we just recently customized the bands am we had them within four days. I think it depends on how close to your date you are.

Mine were set to be customized on the 26th. They shipped on the 27th and I got them yesterday. Looking at tracking they came UPS straight from Memphis.

Next day usually. Also I got the email telling me they shipped, on the same day they actually arrived

I wasn't able to order magic bands yesterday when I was doing the on-line check in.

We will be there Sept. 19th but when I clicked on the button to confirm my shipping address and "next" it just said "can't display the web page." I tried several times. Thought maybe our trip was coming up too fast so they couldn't send them, but that doesn't sound like it's the case if it only takes a few days.

What exactly can you do to customize them?

Hi Andre, I am at POR now...tomorrow I will try to get some pics of the food court menus from the LCD displays. Note that some dinner items end at 10pm...including the sliced beef and mashed potatoes dinner I wanted to purchase, but as I stood in another line to get chicken nuggets for my youngest son I noticed the serving of the sliced beef & mashed potatoes ended at 10. You may already have known that some dinner items end at 10, but I did not. I thought everything was available until 11pm.

I am very interested in what they have at the carving centre I have heard different choices--beef and turkey, Ham and turkey, or just ham. I am not a ham fan so I am hoping for other choices. Thanks-we are there in 4 days

Try logging out, then back in. That's what I had to do last week for it to work.

1 .Freshly Sliced Beef (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) $10.69
....Freshly Sliced Ham (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) $10.19
2. Freshly Sliced Turkey $10.19

So two out of three every night, with Turkey always being present. Those specific dates might have altered, need some spies to confirm.

Could someone who is at POR at the moment do me a favour and snap some quick photos of the menus/pricelists in the food court? Ideally for Lunch (pre 5pm) and also Dinner (after 5pm) if possible. I've just finished updating the site based on my own trip, but I gather there were a few options due to change last week and I'd just like to make sure I've captured any minor alterations and/or price changes.

Just basic cameraphone snaps of each 'page' on each of the TV screens would be perfect as long as I can read the text. Sorry if you get any strange looks, I guess I'm used to it by now.

If you could email them to me at the admin address for the site (admin(at)portorleans.org) that'd be great.

I am going back now so can get carving station photos too. Forgot screen 1 on burger bay, too. FYI manager says new items are muffuletta flatbread, a flatbread and a biscuit at breakfast. Do you need breakfast pics? I can do that tomorrow.

Just noticed how poorly I wrote that message! I rarely use the phone for email - so hard to see or type! Oh well - Andre followed up with me, and I got him a bunch of photos, I think others are too, so he'll have us all set up soon I'm sure via his website.

In case someone is interested re: my frigs. I checked in (from POFQ split stay) on Sunday August 25, to 2 POR royal garden view rooms. Connecting rooms. One had a frig with the sign taped on it to not use it. It was plugged in and running. Maintenance came within an hour of our getting into the room to replace it with a Black & Decker new fridge. Works great. Its cold. Haven't tried keeping something frozen in the very small freezer compartment.

The other room had a frig, running, with no sign taped on it. It's Avanti brand with no freezer compartment. Here's the thing: it doesn't work well - just like the fridges I've had at most, if not all, of my 8 or so stays at Disney resorts over the past few years. Meaning, not very cold. BUT: when I checked into POFQ Tuesday August 20, I had no frig; they brought me an Avanti that looks exactly the same. It worked fine.

So, not sure if the Avanti fridges are the new or old ones, if the B&D brand ones are the new ones, or if there is a combo of brands for the new ones.

Will post photo of both frigs because someone asked before for one in the POFQ thread. Gotta go take the photos...
