ME will tell you what time, but I think 6 is a good approximation, give or take 15 minutes; unless you're flying international, in which case it would be more like 5.

Disney will assign you a pick up time. You need to be at your resort's bus stop, ready to go, 15 minutes prior to that time. The time given is the departure time. If the bus comes and you are not there they will not wait for you. And it is not as simple as putting you on the next bus. You have to ride the bus you are assigned to.

Has anyone heard anything about magic band testing for POR guests yet? I'm crossing my fingers that I can get them for my trip 9/18-9/24!!

There has been nothing official announced, but the feeling I get is that the testing is getting ramped up and it won't be long before a more general roll-out commences - perhaps starting in as little as a month's time? POR will be getting Magic Bands before POFQ does by the way. All timings are still flexible of course.

But when I said we wanted Riverside, she was sure there was an age limit on the trundle.

They suggest "nine or under" for the fifth person, but it's not a fixed rule and you can book four adults and one 17-year-old child via the website if you wish - but it is up to you to heed the height advice. The murphy beds are only 63 inches long.

Is their any kind of weight restriction on them? :confused3 I wonder if it would be a viable sleeping space for a smaller adult.

Three more days!!!! Yay!!! Curious though, we booked Magic Express, but won't be needing it for our ride back to the airport. Is there something I need to do besides letting them know at check-in? Thanks :)

From what i remember they seemed to be very sturdly. They are not on legs, they are on a "box or crate" type frame so I would assume they can hold alot of weight. When mine wasnt pulled down i piled my families luggage all over it!

Thanks!

DS often sleeps on the loveseat in our living room if he and DH stay up late to watch a movie on the weekend, and it is much smaller than the dimensions listed for the Murphy bed. As long as he doesn't have to share a bed with one of his sisters, he'll be completely happy! He's only just over 60 inches, so he'll be fine length wise.

I was just really not wanting to stay at POP which was her suggestion. That doesn't do anything for me at all!

Does anyone have pictures of what's avail for 6packs of beer n such and prices?

Don't recall right off but I think that it was roughly $12 for a 6 pack:scared1: We ended up taking a taxi to the nearest Winn Dixie and getting beer, pop and other items for our week there. Didn't surprise me that prices were that high, I also think that an 8oz block of cheese was around $5 or $6 dollars also.

Andre is there right now, maybe he can "check the prices out for you".

I have had multiple issues linking my reservations to MDE so I have had several conversations with technology about magic bands :). The tech we spoke to yesterday said that they have plans to roll out a larger test group in September and he listed all of the resorts who would get the invites. While it can change, as of yesterday POR was not one of the resorts planned to be included in the testing in September. Hoping it changes for you though!

Also, I forgot to add that he told us if we are chosen for October (check in October 2), we will get notification around mid-September. So I guess two to three weeks out?

Just curious, which resorts did he say would be included?

Also, I know very little about the new system, but if both banded and unbanded people are in the park, are the unbanded people at a disadvantage? It seems like the banded people will already have "reservations" for the major rides? Maybe I'm misunderstanding the process though.

Mickey mail finally arrived!!! 14 days out. Since I am not using ME though, no DME tags so no number to do a BOG lunch reservation ....

Hi there. New here, and I have some specific questions that I didn't see addressed in the FAQ. I will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside in October

1. Do iPads fit in the room safes?

2. Are there any shady places around any of the pools to sit and relax and read?

3. Are there areas on the grounds to sit outside in a quiet shady area and read?

Thank you.

Bummer!! I bet you won't have any trouble getting in, I know the convenience of just walking up to your food would be a good perk.

As for the murphy beds, My daughter is 67 inches and planning on sleeping on it, she only weighs 105 pounds...I think we'll be putting it to the test..but it saved us over $1000 compared to staying in CR or over $700 at AOA...the savings is worth it :)

Thanks to all of you guys going the next weeks and reporting back, our family loves reading your experiences!! We're just now under 5 weeks, finally found a good housesitter, so starting to get excited!!!!

Yes, yes, and yes. I saw several shady areas around the pools and outside sitting in the gardens as well. iPads definitely fit in the wall safes mine did.

Good to know! We were looking at AofA, but POR is just so much more affordable for us! We'll make due with one bathroom for the week, only one of us is a high maintenance diva, and DD (15) can just learn to deal!

Ask for a room near a pool. You can use those restrooms to help out, if need be.

Just a friendly reminder to not always believe everything a cm says on the phone. :)

Husband called today to add a pack n request to our room. CM said he would add it, but in the future we should know that they put one in the room automatically if you have an infant.

We only know that's not true because we were there with him at 5 months and didn't have one (we had brought our own). Just had to laugh about it!

Happy planning! 34 days!

Hello, Ahh Disney is coming too fast!

If I am planning to fax in my room requests, should I still call and add them to my reservation. I know room upgrades are by chance, but it would be lovely if we got one, v would so love the RR again, but it's just out of the budget. Only room request is to be in a mansion. We booked a gardenview room so would prefer Magnolia building since it is closer to the bridge to the bridge.

I am trying to figure out what room we were in last time. If our back is to the river and we are facing oak manor standing in the middle of it, our room was ground floor, right under the staircase in front of the fountain, can anyone tell me what room number range that is? I looked at the detailed room layout map on port Orleans.org, but wasn't sure what was the front of the building lol

thanks
