Port Orleans Riverside Q&A Thread 2013, Part Two [Thread now FULL and closed]

Venomhatch and others, any ideas about why there is such a variance? Two people here have now stated they received their packets at 50+ days out while others have said as little as 2 weeks before. I am having a hard time guessing why it is so inconsistent. People leaving more than a month after me have already received a packet. Makes no sense! I am in the US by the way, if that matters, have been paid off for awhile now and used online check in. I want my packet so I can try using the DME number to reserve a BOG lunch.

I am not exactly sure what causes the variance, but used to me based on when you paid it off. Now it can be held up in mail, lost, and there is always computer error. But at least if you get down to two weeks they can overnight you new labels if needed for your luggage etc. As stated above if someone gets down to 2 weeks and is still concerned PM me and I can see what to do about helping them.

We received our Micky mail at 42 days out and ME a few days later. Our ME is all messed up and I have been on the phone with them several times about it. I am being told that there isn't time to send us a revised packet (this was yesterday and we check in on Tuesday) but am assured that all is right in the computer and we shouldn't have any problems. Ugh. I guess w will see. Can't wait to see POR for the first time!!!

I received only one packet which I assume is the Mickey Mail AND the Magical Express stuff. Am I right, or does it not happen that way? Is there something else I should have received?

Yeah usually it does my mistake I am thinking of when I used AAA we got vouchers in one evolope and ME tags and ME boarding passes in the Mickey Mail.

You'll get a packet in your room the day before your departure with the time you'll need to be at the bus. I believe it's typically 3 hours before take-off.

Popped in to my travel agent today to discuss the possiblities.

She used to be a Disney CM in the Canadian Pavilion, so is pretty up to speed on all things Disney! LOL

But when I said we wanted Riverside, she was sure there was an age limit on the trundle.

Now, it has been about two years since she worked there, so I did tell her they were all fold down beds from the wall now.

Is there an age limit on the Alligator Bayou rooms, for the murphy beds?

I'd much rather POR than POP with connecting rooms I think! (even though there would be two bathrooms with the double room option)

Yeah I corrected myself a ways back. I was thinking of back when I used AAA to go here. Now I don't need to, so my mind was slightly off lol. AAA gives you a second piece with all those vouchers like you said so I was thinking of that.
