We are there 7 - 12. My mom is going with us to celebrate her b'day which is on the 19th (and she's helping with the kids).

Anyone ever done any of the pool activities on the schedule? Are they worth doing? I think we'll have a resort day and I'm wondering if it's worthwhile to try to make it to the main pool for one or two of the activities on the schedule.

Anyone have anything to report or review on any of them or a particular one to recommend? I don't think I've read anything about the pool activities other than their names.

3 weeks today and we are there.....
I called in a room request for Magnolia Terrace, North Facing cause I'd love to face the pool even though we have garden view, and a corner room cause I'd love a room with 2 windows.....not sure if all corner rooms have 2 windows now that I think of it. crap.....I am wondering if I should upgrade to Pool View if I want that north side of the building.....although I reallllllly would LOVE a corner 2 window room....we haven't had one in 9 trips and they look super nice......
Anyone know if I can upgrade at check in to pool view or something other than garden view.....I really like Magnolia Terrace and don't think there are any of those special prince/princess rooms there just regular rooms.

Planning our first stay at POR! So the Unofficial Guide says to avoid buildings 16, 17 and 24 because of noise from the road. However, with interest in a standard room fairly close to the lobby, 16 and 17 are my main options. Any personal experience with noise in those buildings, specifically the standard rooms, most of which face the parking lots? Thanks!

We did pool activities a couple days. Seemed most popular with kids 6ish to pre-teen, but all ages were participating. I did a trivia game with my 5 year old that required writing answers to Disney songs. The people running it were great and made sure everyone that wanted to participate could. My five year old loved hula hopping, limbo and a pool tag game. My 2.5 year old was too young, but loved watching from the pool.

40 more days to we leave for POR and with the weather we just had in Buffalo, I cannot wait to get to Disney! I love reading this thread and seeing everyone helping each other and providing each other with information. You guys are all pretty awesome, especially Venom and Andre! I love reading the posts and especially love it when someone gets some Disney pixie dust. I get so excited you would think it happened to me!

I hear ya!! We are South of Syracuse and it has been bitter! 35 days until we arrive at POR!! Can hardly stand the anticipation

It's supposed to be almost 50 here on Saturday! What a difference from windchill of 30 below Tuesday... Sounds like our trips may overlap. I'll be there from 2/18 -02/24. I hope we have great weather and maybe a bit of pixie dust!

So apparently some roooms in AB are very far from the food court. If you had a car, could you just drive closer and park, or is there nowhere to actually park near there?

Nothing is so far you need to drive, the resort is not that large. Unless you have issues with mobility or that sort of thing there is no reason you cannot walk to anything here....we walk over to FQ for a swim or snack....it's a compact resort.
Now if this was CBR I would say you might drive sometimes but not here.

Welcome lhqueenbee! I'm sure having your parents and their children along will be a bit more difficult, but you definitely sound like you're a "planner", so i think you'll be fine!

I know we have a bunch of Disney pros on here and I was just searching the boards to se if I could find the right spot for this question and I wasn't sure. If anyone may know the answer or have a better idea where I can post, I would be most grateful!!
When we originally booked it was just 4 of us. I did all my ADRs including one at BOG. Now that our travel party grew, I have been unable to change the # of ppl on the BOG ADR. I was hoping my mom and dad could join us for this, changing our dining party from 4 to 6. What do you think the chance is they would allow me to add them to our table if I check in with the front booth at BOG shortly before our ADR time?

I would say it won't work. You will need to rebook a new reservation. Especially at BOG this big tables will be hard to get (going from a 4 top table to 6 top table). You can call and ask but my guess is it will be tough! Good luck!
