I assumed a river view room meant river facing? Am I wrong?
Usually any sort of "view" at WDW means you can see it from your room. So not necessarily.

No, you can spend until you hit a $1,000 unpaid balance, then they will have to charge it to your credit card before you can spend any more.
The only way to guarantee AB is to book Preferred. Otherwise it's up to whether your request gets fulfilled (which hopefully it will, but it's not a guarantee).

They don't stop your charging at $1,000. They just charge the amount to your card whenever you reach $1000 right, and then you start over again? We are traveling with family who is treating for the trip. Would be upsetting if they cut us off and we were relying on charging in the parks or at a meal. I hope you don't get cut off or have to go to the desk since there willbe 6 people eating on one room charge.
ALD85 said:From what I've read is when you're limit is reached they do stop your charging and will decline the current charge if its going to exceed the limit. But from what I've read it's as easy as calling the resort and authorizing them to charge it out and reset your limit.
Ok, I'm booked preferred for October. If there's a room discount and I can't keep preferred, what are the chances of getting AB if requested? Is there a way to guarantee AB? I understand regardless ill be in POR but I just don't like the mansion areas. Thanks![]()
Incorrect. You reach the limit, they ping your card and it starts all over again.
So for instance, if I am at POR and I exceed the $1,000.00 limit, I access two charges on my account. The first is say, for the purpose of example, $1,023.50 and the second is $45.23.
In addition, you are also incorrect in that you can call the resort directly. You cannot, you go through a central call center, where a CM may or may not be able to look up your balance. A quick trip to the concierge desk allows you to ask for a back-up of your charges daily.
We are used to staying at DVC resorts in a studio or 1 bedroom villa but we are trying a few nights at POR in a Royal Room with a River View. How are the queen beds? Comfy? Plush? Firm? Any opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!
Original Poster here...would really appreciate an answer to my question. I have difficulty sleeping in overly firm beds. Thanks again in advance for your help!
I'm going to be staying at riverside in may!!! Only 39 days left! Anyone have tips or suggestions for my stay?
Thanks!!![]()
I would say they are on the plush side, not to firm as that kills me also. I slept pretty well and that usually doesn't happen when I go on vacation. I own mattress stores so I am a bit spoiled.![]()
Is this your first Disney trip?
