In regards to the bus stops we stayed at Acadia House with a water view and usually took a walk to the main South bus stop it's not that long of a walk at all and is so enjoyable. Only once we went to the bus stop behind Acadia House (north I think).

Coming home at night we got off at different stops just so we could enjoy the walk back to our room one night we even got off at POFQ and took a walk along the river after exploring the French Quarter for a bit. We never did get off at the ones behind MB and regret it still but we will make that walk next year.

Yeah everywhere is enjoyable to walk through there.

The water taxis will run in mild rain, but not heavy rain or thunderstorms.

Thanks Missytara, I knew they would in light rain, and not in thunderstorms. I just didn't know at what point they cut it off if it was just rain.

Got back last night..had a new renovated room in Acadian 8042...great room..nicely located close to the bridges and North Depot

not great pictures, but the room was fantastic..the new countertops are like Silstone and very nice!

We just booked the new royal guest room for March 3-8. Is this the first week they are available? I wanted 1-2 more days but it is not available. We may switch to May if a better discount becomes available.

Well I have mine reserved for royal theme river view room, and my dates are from feb 24th to march 3rd.

just bought my dd (16yo) a new camera... a SLR Nikon... she is in LOVE with it and is thinking additional lenses and more will be on her Christmas wish list!

Well glad to hear and thanks for the compliment. Do you mean DSLR? Also which Nikon model did you get? Ohh and I believe it is bearable. Lol

That's great it was so hard when it got down to the last week. We kept slipping and then covering our tracks carefully and fast. We had code phrases so we could talk between us right in front of our lil one and she wouldn't catch on.

So...it looks like my May/June trip is going to change to March due to some pending "work" issues with my husband. We have to wait and see for a few more months. I booked another trip in March so he will be able to go with us, and I will likely change our May/June trip to December for just the kids and I.

However, when I called, the lady I spoke with said that AB was NOT getting queen beds they would be "new" beds, but full sized and there would still be a trundle, not a Murphy-bed. Now either she was seriously confused, or she just enjoyed confusing me ...but just putting that out there.

As I learned here your not calling someone at the resort, likely the person was not up to date with the refurbs getting done at the hotel. But all rooms with fulls aka doubles will be upgraded to queens.

I hope you are right! She was so certain of herself, though. You truly never know who you are going to get when you call. I know for certain that there will be queen beds and a murphy bed at AB. Open Mouse for CM's this Friday, and I have seen the display room

Out of curiosity is there a mosquito issue at the resort? Or anywhere at WDW. My wife is a natural magnet for them (one of the many reasons I married her! So I wouldn't be the magnet anymore ). It just occurred to me with all the "swamp" and river themes there might be an issue, and the whole resort is built on swamp land!


Went to Maui, took a dip in the water to see if it was worth the effort (corals, fish etc), 5 minutes later she's waving me back to shore (on no a shark is after me??) nah mosquitos from a freshwater lake on the other side of the beach got her in the make-up chair and turned her into a Klingon!

I like the picture. It's good and besides,there's no one around the pool, which makes it even better! Peaceful and quiet!
