Thanks for the quick response!! Yes I wanted to know what the first bus stop was for POR. We usually stay at POFQ but trying POR this trip. I was hoping to get a room that is convenient to the first bus stop.

Well Doreen, the closest rooms to the main bus stop are in the AB section buildings 14, 15, 16, and 18. But those are preferred pricing. If you were to get a room in the Oak Building you could just do a 2-3 minute walk to the main building and grab a bus at the South Depot the aka the first stop to and from.

Great thank you. I guess I requested the wrong rooms when I made my ressie.:)
When we check in I will see what we get & maybe can request another room.

What stop is after the south one?

The bus route is clockwise, , but south isn't always first pickup.
If south is first, the second is west, then north, followed by east. Sometimes west is first, followed by north, east and then south.
The only park POFQ and POR usually don't share a bus for is MK

KCmike, Andre, Webstah and any other DSLR members take a look at my small sample of what I have taken so far.

Hey Venomhatch I was thinking about getting one of those "special" lenses for myself awhile back. Here is one for a bit of a better price.

By the way looks like you got yourself an amazing photo set up.

On another post you asked for requests for photos, I don't recall seeing any high end shots from the horse and buggy ride or from one of those small motor boats that they rent.

That's weird the bus driver told me out of the POR stops South is always the first on and off. Well that is just one person so I guess it is just a rumor lol.

I believe it depends on what park you're going to.
When the bus driver told you that south is alway first, he could have meant for buses going to that particular park.
Drop off is the same, sometimes south is the first dropoff, sometimes it's west that is first. Again, it may depend on what park you are going to.

Thanks for the cup source. Also thanks for the compliments also. I will look into trying to score some shots of the horse and buggy also the rented searays. But I was looking for a shot of that bridge to old man island.

I posted one from the main building side, but it's from across the water, so it's a distance shot...

Yeah thanks, I was looking for a closer shot maybe something from the dock where the boats pick up and drop off at.

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/CANON-EF-24-...ation: Hong Kong, Hong Kong) I dont think so.

Normally it is, but I've sometimes seen them do the circle tour first, then come back to South. One POR bus even drove through POFQ first before the driver realised he was going the wrong way - he drove right past the POFQ stop and on to Riverside!

Also when a South depot bus gets full (and also in the mornings before 10.30am) they will run a seperate bus to service the outer depots.

Overall, I think the drivers just go where the GPS-linked computer tells them.

In short, there are no rules, merely guidelines. :)

I will FINALLY be arriving at POR early tomorrow morning and CANT WAIT!! Thanks to this topic for giving me all the info I needed for my stay at POR. We will be there the 18th - 26th. Tomorrow is looking like rain all day but we planned on being at the hotel all day anyways so the rain isn't bothering me. We plan on going to DTD tomorrow night to shop/eat at T-Rex. Do the boats from POR to DTD operate if it is raining out?

Great to see you will be starting your trip there tomorrow. We have reservations at trex also the first day we are there. But about the boats, I don't know about them running the boats in heavy rain or rain at all. But if they don't you always have a short bus ride from the DTD bus stop to POR.

I took a look at the location they were from (Item location: Hong Kong, Hong Kong) I dont think so.

That's fine I was nervous the first time I ordered from China or Hong Kong as well. I've ordered from their a few times and only once I did not receive my item. However I was able to get a refund from Paypal. The drawback is the shipping time is a lot longer.
