We haven't seen any prototypes of the actual room or mock-ups. It has only been released as the interior designer's rendering, which I suspect this is. Old news.

We are waiting for the real thing here on the POR thread.

Well, it was nice joining you in this thread briefly, but I have switched resorts. I added a day to our trip, but there were no more rooms to accommodate us at POR. So, we had to switch to CSR. Now, off to change my ticker. Again.

Ok I will stop lurking and finally join in here...thanks for posting the quiet pool pics! We are coming to POR in Sept 2012 and we love that there are several quiet pools. We stayed at the Poly this past September and while we loved the resort we wished there was a few more pool options for us and our kids (7,5,3). Also thanks to everyone for posting all the info and to Andre...love your site too!

Go to user cp in the upper left corner. When you get to that page along the left side will be choices. Select the signature. You will get a box similar to the post reply box. This is where you will paste the codes from your ticker. I may not be describing it well. On the main page for topics, towards the bottom is a technical topics area. They will have much better directions! Good luck!

Ha yeah I have seen a video on youtube like that already. One child got a plane to explain how, second got a calender to explain when, and the third got a mickey and minnie doll to explain who they were going to see.

Yeah we are waiting to pass Xmas also before we start doing our go crazy countdown. Last year we didn't tell our little one about the trip even as we pulled up to the airport she just thought we were going to eat dinner at my favorite restaurant there. Then as we park and she comes around to the back before I popped the trunk her mom told her that we were going, she said repeatedly nuh-uh constantly. She was in denial, then made me swear a pinky promise that we were going. Got the whole thing on video.

Checked in yesterday....but didn't get the coveted new refurbished AB room we requested. No worries...we're still at WDW.....
BUT WAIT....THERE'S MORE!......
On a "hunch", this morning, I went to the good folks at the check in counter...long story short...
WE ARE IN A SUPER NICE NEWLY REFURBISHED ROOM!
This room is really nice. The kids are tickled pink, and they were totally on board with the quick moving plans! I'm afraid we will be very spoiled after this stay!

We just got back from 10 nights at Riverside and it was nice. I liked it a lot. Did not get a new room but I am glad because I do think storage for a family or 5 would have been an issue. We were storing luggage under the beds and using the open cubbies under the tv and ever inch of space available. The new rooms have less storage. And how does one get into the drawers under the trundle if someone is still sleeping in the bed? Not sure they thought that out. I always get up before everyone else.

Anyway, we really did not like the food at the food court area but we do prefer table service (which is mostly what we did).

We took the Nikon Coolpix P500 to Disney this trip and we loved the 36x zoom! It was amazing for those hard to get pictures from far away. It does not take great night pictures though - my small canon was better at that. It is a great camera for the price though.

Thanks. I'm leaning toward that camera. I bought the kodak easy share z990 the battery life is awful. So I'm returning.

I bought two extra batteries and an external charger off of Amazon for the Coolpix. A battery will take about 270 pictures so we wanted to make sure we had extras for those full days at Disney. The video quality was good also.

Yeah I am takng all the gear in my sig to wdw in feb. But most importantly I am already prepared with two batts, three 32 gb cards, reg and telephoto lenses, and most importantly lens wipes. Lol

Not officially no, but kids must be old enough to ride alone as they don't allow two people to go down the slide together. You can have a catcher at the bottom though.

We are heading to WDW and staying at POR 1/7-1/15. This will be our first stay at POR and I've requested a mansion building - Magnolia Terrace. For all you experienced POR guests, what is the typical wait times for the buses to the four parks? Is there a bus stop that is better than another? I know that at some resorts, some stops are the last on the line and the buses fill up before they get to certain stops. I know we will be there in low crowd times, but it's free dining, so maybe the crowds will be more than we've had in the past.
