It has been several years since I last stayed off property and needed a rideshare to a park. So I am hoping someone can confirm the process and drop off/pickup area for me. To get to MK, do I request a ride to the TTC? Or is there a different drop off area these days? Also, when I finish at the park, do I go back to the same spot to request a pickup or is there a pickup area closer to the MK gate? Thanks

Non-Disney transport must drop off and pick up at the TTC, then you can take the Monorail or Ferry over to MK. Unfortunately, there isn't anything closer. The resorts likely won't let a car through if you're not a guest or don't have a dining reservation. It might be okay to walk to the Contemporary and have a car pick you up there (not drop-off), but really, you may as well just go to the TTC anyway.

People are not allowed to be picked up at a resort unless the person is a guest at that resort. I know this applies for personal vehicles but not sure about Uber/Lyft, etc.

E.g. I was at Pop Century last month after visiting but not staying there. A friend tried to pick me up but they were not allowed to. I ended up taking the Skyliner to DHS and they picked me up there in the guest drop-off, pick-up area.

All that to say, it's a possibility if a person walks to a nearby resort, their ride may not be allowed access to the resort to pick them up. I agree it's best just to go to TTC.

That's kind of what I figured. I know they are pretty strict with the higher-tier resorts too. It's not going to save much time anyway unless you were already going to one of the resorts for an ADR or something.

I certainly expect to be able to use Lyft or Uber back to my resort after my dining reservation at The Contemporary.

You cannot have Uber/Lyft drop you off at Contemporary unless you are staying there or have a dining reservation there (unless it's a fluke and you are very lucky).

If you are at the Contemporary, you can request an Uber/Lyft to pick you up there. Doesn't matter if you walked over from the Magic Kingdom and are staying elsewhere, or if you having a dining resie there and are staying elsewhere, or are staying there and want to go somewhere.

I have walked from MK to Contemporary, then requested an Uber/Lyft to pick me up there to take me back to my hotel.

If your conscience is bothering you pick up a drink on the way out. You are now a paying customer

Yep, TTC is still your best bet drop-off and pickup both happen there, then just hop the monorail or ferry over. Security can be a bottleneck depending on the time of day, so I usually build in an extra 15 - 20 minutes just to be safe.
