someone please explain to me how the credit cards works that is attached to your KTTW. Is it charged on a nightly basis or is it charged the night before you check out?

It has been my experience that it bills at the end of your stay. Because in your bad news mail that shows up aka Magical Express, or check out info packet there will be receipts of your charges that day.

My kids are being surprised with our ROYAL ROOM too!

No there is no murphy bed in the RBR rooms. They ONLY allow 4 people in those rooms. (exception being babies under the set age)

Thanks! We only have 3 but the beds looked cool and I knew DD would love them! :-)

:yay: Hello from POR. We arrived here Saturday around 11am, it was the worst check in we had here ever, but we finally got into our room and it is a refurbished, lower level AB room and a corner room close to the parking lot. So, I was happy with that. We love the refurb, think they look great!

A few things:

1. The AC/heat unit now has a wooden box over it and it does block the air. It took our room about 24 hrs to get to the temp we wanted, but it has stayed there since. The maintence men came down and said that is the problem and offered to take off the box if it didnt get better soon. But, it looks cute and we waited.

2. The murhpy bed is so much bigger than I expected. I was scared my DD12 would be too big. She is just under 5 foot and around 115lbs. She has plenty of room and says it is comfortable enough, a little hard, but not too bad. And again, it is so cute!

3. As far as the storage areas... the 3 drawers under the murphy bed hold quite a bit. I let each of the kids have a drawer and whatever didnt fit I hung up. (called and asked for extra hangers too). There is also a shelf unit next to the fridge that DH and I used and again what we didnt fit on there we hung.

4. There is room between the bed and wall closest to the bathroom that fits our suitcases in between. Makes the person on the side next to the wall not able to get off the side of bed, but also keeps the suitcases out of the way.

5. I just checked the channels here and yes, we do have the channels added that Andre mentioned. Im watching the Bio channel now.

6. There is some painting going on on the outside of many AB buildings this week, no color changes of course, but just an update. Lots of work around the resort, but nothing that seems to get in your way or wakes you or anything.

7. The weather has been BEAUTIFUL except Sunday. Sunday was our MK day and it rained ALL DAY. :sad1: But, it did also keep MK less crowded and we were able to ride everything we wanted, barely needing to use the GAC since wait times were low. It has been so nice, a good breeze keeps you cooled down, yet the sun is shinning!

8. Have had several problems with CMs and the GAC we have for our DD with heart problems and who is on a monitor. I wont go into details, but this has beent he worst with it all. Nothing to make me not want to come to WDW, but I have been a little soured this trip. :headache:

Anything else you want to know...ask away. Ill check back on here later today or tonight.

I'm wondering what types of problems you have had with CW's and the GAC card! My son has MD and will need a GAC in June! Can you share the problems you have had?
Hope you have a wonderful trip from here on out!!

To online check in or not??

We arrive on a 10:30 flight so we should be at the hotel around noon. On a Sunday (March 26)

Yes, there is a gold button on the side is each headboard that turns the display on. They run for 30 seconds, and then turn off automatically. We've been using them as night lights to check on my youngest in the PnP.

The pictures of the princes' profiles, and their inclusion in the larger picture with the princesses definitely makes it feels more inclusive for the boys.

Just 30 seconds at a time? I was hoping for something like 30 minutes so I could use this as soothing light as the kids drift off to sleep. Ah well! :wizard:

We always check in online especially when we know we will arrive early in hopes the room controller takes that into account when assigning rooms.

We will be arriving at the same time...we started to do the online check in and was experiencing some problems last nite so dh call the IT helpline and she told us in her opinion is better NOT to do online checking if you have requests because if you arent happy with your room its alot easier to switch. At the online check in window she said that they just give you your packet and sent you on your way.

We've had no problems asking for a different room if our requests had not been met even with online check-in. Sometimes they are able to meet our requests and sometimes not, but we've never been pushed away.

I don't know... We did online check in and got exactly what we requested. Yes, they had our packet all ready for us when we got there, but they hadn't assigned our room yet. So I reiterated our requests at that time and we were able to get them.

Got my vacation shopping done, got my hair done (which I totally love my new do) 90% packed, dog sitter confirmed. Now the next 9 days just gotta hurry up fast!

Still need to get hair done, dog setter cancelled, not packed at all, but I still want the next 9 days to get here fast!!!:lmao:And my flight is Tuesday:scared1:(spending a few days with family)

We are not doing on line check in either. I can get to the resort anytime that day, maybe around noon to see fellow Dis Boarders!!!

Based on resort level you have a preset limit ( 500 at value, 1000 at mod, 1500 at deluxe) and once you reach that limit or 2a ish of check out day your card is charged. I've had it a few times where I've had to get Cm to call my resort and tell them to run charges so I could continue to use KTTW card for charging.

:lmao: No fair you get to leave on Tues

We did online check-in for March 3 arrival and got just what we requested which ended up being not what we wanted...

Requested king-bed; got king-bed but the room did not have a bath tub and the wife wants a bath tub. We called front desk when we found this out and got a different room but it was not a king...but it had a tub. I'll know next time to list priorities in my requests with a tub being number 1.

I will post pictures tonight, we are heading to AK now. Anything else anyone wants picts of, let me know.

Any details in the room that you think are fun - lights, curtains, bedspeads, etc. would be great.

Also, could you maybe get a few snaps of TV-Channel #17, showing the new TV Station line-up in detail, so I can update the site with all the new numbers?

And depending on your camera, some shots of the new outside details at night? I can't wait til I'm back in August, and I'll try to get some low-light time exposures.

What else... well I wouldn't mind some pics of the evening food-court menu boards if you happen to be over there between 5pm and 10pm any day?

Hope you are having a great time now the initial issues are behind you.

Andre

Depending on what shots you get before I go I'd be glad to get you photos, just give me a list. I'll be there and I have a full day and evening at the resort with my dslr. I don't have a Royal Room but will be glad to get what I can for your site!!

Question about the outdoor movies:

Is it acceptabe to bring food? We are planning a laid back arrival day.. Landing around lunch time, may grab lunch at the airport, then check in, go to DTD, go swimming, etc. I was thinking a late dinner, perhaps ordering pizza from offsite (POR pizza is not my thing). Would it be OK to eat our pizza as a picnic at the outdoor movie? Or do we need to eat in our room before heading out to the movie?

Yes, dinner and a movie is the best! :thumbsup2
