I booked on Oct. 4th and the website said Queen then. I don't understand why they even added that QUEEN BED description to the website until the refurb was done. Our party was there for 4 nights in one room and 5 nights in another room. Both were booked per description on the website. The place was not full on our dates Jan. 6th through the 11th. There were rooms empty and no one was on the other side of us the entire time. :confused: It totally irritated me that we didn't get queen beds. We would have booked elsewhere.

They put queen beds in the desciption instead of double beds because they knew folks wold pay more for queen beds than they would for double beds. "a little disappointed" is an understatement. There are only "limits to what they can do" if we let them set those limits. We've got the upper hand here. Insist on queen beds. If they don't offer you queen beds, ask for a river view, preferred, or king room. Ask if they can acommodate you at POFQ. The situation will not "remedy itself naturally" during your trip. It's up to us to B & M until they live up to their end of the bargain. If Disney chooses not to sufficiently invest in website and reservation system quality control, they will have to pay the price at checkin.

So let me get this straight, if I am asked to move to another resort and I request Poly Hawaii building that entire building is Club Level? I just want to know so I know what to say!! ;)

This will be our first trip to WDW, and we (DH, 2 x DS) are travelling half way around the world for this holiday and won't be able to come back anytime soon.

We booked the Garden View room with Queen Beds with the "free" dining package, as part of that package we had to pay "full" rate for the room. When we booked, there was no other option of chosing different room categories, even things like River View, you only had Garden View and this was one of the reasons we booked the resort because of the Queen Beds.

After reading everything on the forum, I rang Disney and requested Mangolia, as our preferred building, so hoping that will work out. Only problem we have is that we don't arrive until close to midnight, so hopefully they haven't already given out all the renovated rooms by the time we arrive.

Will be mildly annoyed if we can't get the renovated room though, and after travelling for 33 hrs won't be in the best of moods.

Just don't take it out on the poor CM at the front desk. At midnight you're only gonna be offered what available. You can always nicely make sure they understand that the very next day when the room you want is available that you'd like to move. :goodvibes Have a great trip.

Just got CLUB LEVEL, Hawaii building, TPV, 3rd floor at the POLY!!!

:woohoo::grouphug::dance3::lmao::dancer:

Congrats on the upgrade. We loved our CL stay at the Poly! I'm just wondering how you know you will be on the third floor? I would imagine that rooms would not be assigned this far out.

The CM said it went by what view you had at POR so I could get Lagoon. Anyway loved my last stay at Poly, kids love that 2nd to BLT but BLT was not an option.

Well I had a conversation with the room assignment manager before he went on vacation at the POR. He spoke with the Room Assignment Manager at the POLY which actually was his assistant. He requested the room with her and she said no problem.

Feel free to PM me the names so that I can name drop at the front desk! :thumbsup2

:cheer2::cheer2: congrats!

Where I see that they are upset for their reasons. I am apologizing for thinking they are referring to us as scum. But how we all have the right to want the best for our families, so if Disney wants to give us what we want to a limit for a error on their part, we deserve what we were promised with more so in our favor because they promised something and could not follow through with it.

I apologize to the Poly Fans, for when I typed this I was still angry feelin attacked and cornered. So hopefully this will be behind us.

D.

First off welcome to the DIS! When do you arrive in in DW? As time goes on more and more buildings will be refurbished with the Queen beds. If everything goes according to plan they will be done by the end of Aug.

Last year we stayed at Acadia House and loved it. It was already renovated when we went. With just the four of you I would think that they would hold a mansion room for you. Who knows with a little Disney magic you may even get free upgrade to river view.:wizard:

We just booked Oct 13-17 in a Royal Room standard view with a 30% discount! I've never stayed at POR. My friend and I are so excited! :banana::goodvibes
