Hubster just found out he's got a tear in the medial AND lateral meniscus He goes back to the dr next Wed to figure out what they are gonna do. UGH this happened at the worst possible moment BUT we are gonna make the best of it...just not sure how we are but we will.

I just don't understand when they, WDW, advertise that you will get a queen and the room sleeps 5 why they can say it is only a request. You in good faith placed a reservation from their description. They (WDW) should honor that or offer a discount and if that does not work as in your case provide an upgrade at no additional cost to the customer. After all it was not the customers screw up. I believe Coronodo (SP) has suites?

I wish anyone with this problem a enjoyable vacation!

While I do agree with you 100% on the principle of the whole situation, I beleive I read somewhere...in the fine print....that Disney can change your room type and location and that they only guarantee you will have a room on their property.
But after many years of working in customer service and working with the public, I do think they have handled this whole situation very poorly.

Curious to know what happens for you with the queen bed situation. We are in the same boat but I have yet to complain or request. Hoping things go well for you. MY DH is 6'4" so a queen is appreciated.

we requested queens too mainly because Dh is big guy and the 2 of us can NOT fit on a double and neither of us wants to sleep with a squirmy 5 yr old

Doubles in the AB would be fine as long as theres a trundle/murphy bed...everyone will have their own bed. But that got me wondering....do all AB rooms have a trundle/murphy bed?

Don't panic. I had a meniscus tear last year. When I told the doctor I was bummed because I was going on a cruise and would miss ski season, he told me "pack ibuprofen and ice packs you'll be fine". The chance of having an acute attack with the tissue pinched or serious pain is slim. Knee brace, meds, good sneakers. He'll be fine. The surgery in minimal and I was nearly 100% a week later. Hope it's the same for your hubby!

Got my Mickey mail today!!! Yipee....however, we also took DS15 to ER. Landed on his leg wrong, no breaks but could be tore ligaments. We won't know till next week... Hopefully it's nothing.

My documents say "Garden Room", nothing else. No murphy, trundle, queens, nothing!! I would love for everyone expecting "queens' to come back and post to see how it's going for those of us who want them.

Took Three panoramic shots as soon as we got into our poly room. No Andre I didnt break the dslr out yet. Just used the Galaxy Nexus Phone. Will upload to a Photobucket site if someone wants to see them. Now about to leave and go to DTD for Trex res!!!

During the last section, Lou finally ended up on stage with Bob so some great close-ups and fun, although the audio does get a bit distorted being so close to the speakers. Remember this was a live web-stream, so it's not HD-camcorder type footage. Good fun though!

Mine says "Garden" and its on the second line of our itinerary, next to Hotel.

Got mine tooo!!
Mine says "Garden". The last time I called and spoke to CM I requested they email me my invoice showing where it states I must have queen beds. They did it and so I have that to take along.

Mine just says River.
If its in Magnolia Bend then I know it will be queen beds since Acadian & Magnolia have already been refurbished with queens. Oak will be done March 9th but we didnt get RGR. Parterre will be closed for refurb. when we are there.
If its in AB I will be ok in AB with doubles as long as there is a murphy/trundle.

I'm starting to sound like a broken record lol
