For those who have not stayed at this resort before, in my opinion it is great. The best thing about it is the size. It is so small compared to the other resorts. There is no walking 10 - 15 minutes to eat breakfast or having to wait for a bus to bring you to the front of the resort. The food court is great for eating breakfast. We had our vacation booked at WL this year with a 40% off pin. When the free dining offer came out, we switched to POFQ and saved $1,000. We were able to fly instead of driving because of this!!!!!!!! I can't wait to get back!

A bit of an odd question, but would I be able to use magnets on the door @ POFQ? Was thinking that if that was possible I might bring a couple of magnest with clips along with me to use to stick our time guides, maps, etc, up on the door for easy access (& to keep clutter off the tables/counters). TIA!

Bounty Breakfast Platter - Bounty Breakfast Platter served with scrambled eggs, a Mickey waffle, bacon or sausage, and a biscuit. - $6.29

My DD who was 10 at the time and I would split this platter. I also ordered a side of bacon or sausage (whichever she wanted).

One morning she took the waffle, we split the biscuit and we each had our own bacon. Another morning she took the eggs, we split the biscuit and she had ordered sausage (yuck, I hate sausage.).

It was perfect for the 2 of us.

thanks alot for all the info about POFQ and I wanted to know which buses is EPCOT Bus A or Bus B! and they have security kiosk in POFQ!

We just booked for the free dining package! We've been talking about going for months and waiting for our friend to do the college program in Sept so she could book us with CM rates but when they put out the FD offer for October we decided to jump on it...7 nights October 26 to November 2! We are still going to have her check on the CM friends & family rates when she has access to The Hub to see if it's less expensive to book through her for hotel & dining but for now we are BOOKED! Whoo hoo! I have wanted to stay in POFQ FOREVER and unfortunately when DBF came to visit me while I was working at WDW POFQ wasn't available at the CM rate so we stayed at CSR...which was BEAUTIFUL and exceeded my expectations but I really want to do POFQ! Also psyched because I have wanted to do MNSSHP for a LOOOONG time and not only can we go but we are going to be at WDW for actual Halloween! WHOO! All my wishes do commmeee trueeee.

Several pages back there were some pics of a trip where movies were offered at night as well as pool side activities and recreation options. Is this something just for the summertime?

We're going in October for the first time and looking forward to it. Since we have stayed at POR twice before, we know the area. One of the things we do is have a planned pool day - we go to the pool in the AM and plan on staying in the park until it closes. Is the FQ pool awesome enough? Both of my DDs were very happy with the big pool at CBR so that is fresh in their minds. I thought that I read where POFQ guests are allowed to use the POR facilities. Has anyone walked over to POR for the pool on Ol' Man Island (If I misread where such activity is allowed please let me know...gently....)

Looking forward to our trip and more reports and photos.

No one is quite sure as first it started just three nights a week and has recently been expanded to every night. I sure hope it continues through the year. And yes, POR and POFQ guests are allowed to fully share in the activities at both resorts including pools and other events like movies. (Different movies at each resort so if you don't like what's playing at one you can see the other.)

Our flight arrives at 8.30pm on a Friday night last week in September. We're getting our own bags. I'm guessing we'll arrive around 9.30 - 10pm if our flight is on time. We have two rooms booked/linked with a request for an internal door between them. I'm guessing we should checking in online? I was going to make one other request which is to be near a smoking area - for SIL - but having the internal door is more important.

I'm guessing too that being pre-checked in would save us any issues if the resort is overbooked?

Am I right in my thinking on both?

You can't make requests when you check-in online - you would have to call or fax the resort directly to add the request to your room. Have a great vacation!!!!:goodvibes

My error, I worded badly! It's late at night in Sydney! The internal door request and reservation linked is already in. I was going to call in the next week or so for the smoking location.

Does POFQ have a nice playground area?

It's just perfect for small kids, but boring for bigger kids.

We went for beignets a couple weeks ago, and there were construction walls up all around the playground. I guess it's being refurbished? Does anyone know if it's being changed?

Just back from a wonderful stay at POFQ. We were not disappointed in the refurbished rooms! They were elegant and very clean. The resort didn't seem crowded at all. While we were there they were painting the floors of the corridors in building 4 and it didn't appear that building 7 had any occupants either.

The bus service was very good (no long waits) and easy. Only had one extremely long wait during a storm at Typhoon Lagoon to come back to the resort.

We paid for a River View room and requested a top floor, corner room. We checked in at 8:30 AM and our room was ready and exactly what we hoped for in building 6.

All the cast members we encountered during our stay were pleasant and helpful. The foodcourt was very good as well. Lots of variety and tasty food. We have the Tables in Wonderland card so were able to receive 20% off food and that helped a lot! We purchased refillable mugs and liked the fact we were able to fill them with iced tea (white tea, green tea, sweetened black tea and unsweet black tea) as well as soft drinks.

The pool was fun and we were always able to find chairs/table to put our things.

They had several movies playing during our stay, as well as pool parties, and camp fires. We went to Scat Cats one night and enjoyed the entertainment there. I will post pictures below, if you have any questions - feel free to ask.

Thank you so much for your trip report and all the wonderful pictures! The gentleman that greets you at the door is such a lovely man, very friendly and seems to really enjoy his job. Love Elliot Dyson's show at Scat Cats, he's such a talented performer. The new rooms look gorgeous and I'll be interested to see if the movies are still playing when we go next month. Thanks so much once again, I'm now even more pumped about our upcoming trip!!

Soooo excited!!!!! I convienced my family to change our reservation from ASMovies to POFQ the last week of March 2012!!! We get the regular dining plan for free and the QUEEN size beds!!! We awlays used to stay at values but we just came back July 4, 2011 from 10 days at CSR and we just loved the bigger beds, our kids are 12 and 15 and it is a tight fit in those double beds, we would have managed but this is even better!!! Very excited to try out POFQ:yay: and very excited to be going with 12 family members!
