In December it was announced that the DCL terminal will be under construction from June - October 2020 and that cruises would sail out of the adjacent NCL terminal.
1) Does anyone have an update on schedule? Are they still set to close the DCL terminal in June?

2) Does anyone have experience with the NCL terminal? What can we expect?

3) Thoughts on how they might manage concierge passengers in the NCL terminal (we are concierge in September on a B2B to celebrate our 20th anniversary).

We will be sailing with friends who are new cruisers both in June and September. I am trying to get as much information as possible to manage expectations.

Thanks!

As far as I am aware, I have not seen anything that indicates construction has changed. I have a lot of the same questions as you and have tried to view some video logs to get an idea. I think the parking is decidedly worse with regards to proximity to the NCL terminal. It looks to be a much further walk, ,though covered.

I did not get too much insight on the way things are done inside in terms of counter space or concierge lounge area. There does seem to be lots lots more seating.

Hopefully someone will have some more intel on B2B cruising from that terminal. I suspect it might be similar since Disney has contractors on board who clear customs and reboard at the port who are not entitled to use the crew gang way.

I haven’t seen any recent updates either. I would definitely follow Scott’s blog, as i’m sure he’ll report any news. Www.dclblog.com

I can’t remember what it was like to sail out of Port Canaveral before Disney built their own terminal. It’s just too many years ago now. But, I would guess they will treat the NCL terminal the way they do places like Miami, where Disney shares spaces with other lines. They’ll be some Disney decor, and there will be a separate check in area and waiting area for concierge guests. We have done BTB at both port Canaveral and Miami, and in Miami it was much more organized. We gathered together in the D lounge and all of the BTB guests were escorted off together, and then checked in. At Port Canaveral it was more get off when you felt like it and then just go back up the escalator.

We are also doing a B2B and a family cruise in Sept. so I will be watching for more details. This will be our first platinum cruise. We just did our first B2B in January to see how the process goes. Guess that is all up in the air now. Probably will have to wait until June cruisers start posting the details.

We cruised on NCL out of Port Canaveral in March 2017 and it was fine. As nice as the terminal for DCL in Miami from my memories (never sailed with DCL from PC so no comparison).
