Too true, Lanshark. Each poster should be aware that we have several DIS Elementary school 4th grade Spelling Bee Champions right here on this board. And they aren't shy when it comes to bragging about it.
Shoot, I forgot and I'm sorry. This is the community board where you're not supposed to challenge the OP and everyone is to get group hugs and pixie dust.

I believe that websites like that should require some sort of agreement to be clicked on before they open, just like some of the "secure website" agreement things you have to click on when you use your credit card online. THat way, if you really wanted to see that website you could, but if you got on it by mistake you wouldn't have to be insulted by being forced to confront their words/images. I think this is a tragedy that we allow this to happen so easily. My 8 year old couldn't buy a can of beer or a box of cigarettes, but heaven forbid she accidentally mistypes a domain name, she could be viewing images that NO ONE in their right mind should EVER be forced to view!
I do agree with most posters, that assuming that the hotel was not in any way connected with this site popping up, it is not their fault and therefore they owe no compensation to this person. But from a customer service point of view, it certainly wouldn't hurt them to offer something, least of all an apology. I know, I know, it's not their fault and they had no control over it. But an apology would have meant so much at that point.
Let me just say one more word..... FILTER. Get a good filter for your computer to try and prevent these things from happening. Go to www.afafilter.net to start..........................P
There are no censorship laws for the internet (thank God). I detest censorship in any way, shape, or form. I also detest these websites, but, to request they be censored opens a can of worms and who knows, something I might really like could be censored.
I don't know why you think an apology is even necessary, a thank you is more than enough. You only apologise if you have done something wrong. In this case, the motel did nothing wrong.
