POR to Fort Wilderness

I just got our free maps with my "favorites" on our maps. I also received a map of the entire grounds. I noticed Fort Wilderness and POR are back-to-back of each other.

I was wondering if there are any walking paths between. We will be at the MK on Easter Sat. early morning,, we will be taking a break in the afternoon and going back to POR. I have an ADR for 6:20 for Whispering Canyon and I thought it would be great to just walk over there, instead of trying to get back to MK by bus and catching the boat from the docks.

I'm probably nuts for thinking there is a walking path right?

Oh boy. They're not close at ALL. Disney World covers 47 square miles - your map apparently isn't in perspective.

Or, to answer your question - no, you can't walk it

I got the maps for the wdw site. It really shows Fort Wilderness back to back with POR. On the map it shows The Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness to the South East of the Magic Kingdom. I always thought they were more North East of the Magic Kingdom.

I think I just might get a taxi that day, I know the busses will be really busy, and I don't want to spend an hour or more just to transfer around.

No, southeast sounds about right - but Epcot is south of THAT, and POR is more or less east/southeast of Epcot.

Look for posts by WillCAD - he has links to maps in his signature, and I'm sure one of 'em will be all of Walt Disney World.
