POR room request

Just booked room for aug.6-11th waterview!Any suggestions for room request?Not really crazy about being by the pool(I guess that is considered waterview)am really interested in the lake!

Water view could also be facing the river. We always ask for a ground floor, non smoking corner room (one king bed instead of two queens) and in Magnolia or Oak manor. It is all great though

Just back from POR on June 15tth. Requested THREE times to be in AB; once when we made reservations in February, once two days before arrival and yet again while standing at the counter after I was told we were in the Mansions. CM was not very nice and told us there was nothing else and enjoy our room. Hope you have better luck.

We like Magnolia Terrace and our 2nd choice would be Oak Manor. I prefer the themeing of the Mansions but AB is really nice too.

The cool thing about Magnolia Terrace is that you are right across the bridge from the main pool & playground, and you have your own quiet pool right by the building (right outside our room once). Then you are right across another short bridge from the main buildings, dining, etc.

The resort is huge, if you get stuck in a distant room you could spend a lot of time walking.

We have stayed in bldg. 14 and 18 in AB numerous times and had gotten "used to it" and it was great. Due to our party size (3), our room request was not granted in early June. We trekked off to the mansions in Parterre Place (9534). It was a water view, ground floor and absolutely lovely. We were very close to the bridge that goes to the check-in bldg./front bus stops. I would never have changed to the mansions but now that we did..it was fantastic and the view was worth the extra $. Oh yeah, the quiet pool to the left of our bldg. was immaculate with hardly anyone there our entire stay. Either way, you are in for a great stay at POR!

That really stinks. I specifically switched over to POR because I love the rooms at AB. I realize it's just a request, but I'll be very upset not to get it.
