POR free dining?

With CBR now having rooms that can accommodate 5 people do you think that might help POR be included in free dining for fall 2015? I'm kinda assuming that many people book POR who have family of 5 since that is the only moderate option without having to book two rooms. Don't know if I'm expressing my question very well.

No idea. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they excluded both or offered very limited availability.

Both POR and POFQ were excluded from free dining this year by Disney. Disney excluded all the most popular resorts from fd at Value (POP), mod, and I think the deluxes too. They might do it again, as these fill up just fine without free dining.

I guess part of my thinking that por fills up so fast during free dining because you could put 5 people in a room. Since there are now two moderates that could accommodate 5 I thought maybe that would spread families out a bit more. Maybe my thinking is wrong but it was just something that came across my mind. If some of those families that would have booked at por book CBR instead maybe that might open up por for the free dining discount since there would be less people booked there.

I think of it like this - POR and CBR will be the cheapest ways possible to bring a family of 5. They still don't need the discount to book up, because the alternatives are more expensive.

When they excluded POR this year, they got exactly what they were hoping for. People either stayed at POR and took a room discount (or nothing, depending on availability), moved to more expensive family suited, or got 2 rooms at a different resort. I get what you're saying - if there are 100 families all staying at POR, now they might split and stay 50/50. I just don't think it'll affect the booking numbers enough to change whatever they have planned for FD offerings. Since excluding POR workd out well last year for Disney, I could definitely see them excluding both or making availability very limited to give the illusion of inclusion. Instead of having families of 5 booking suites they'll have more options for regular rooms, which means they'll want to target the discounts at the suites and more expensive options.

Ok that unfortunately makes sense. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

My thinking as well; Disney knows they can book more rooms at a mod for families of 5, but they cannot add anymore rooms at POR, so they opted for CBR to add more. It seemed like the most likely place.

It was just like when they added the booking categories a few years ago, that USED to be requests - they figured it out.

I dare say this year, they are going to dip their toes in the water on FD for both POR and CBR and see how fast they fill up first. I get it won't take long.
