Okay, don't laugh:wave:
Is there a difference between a food court and a resort restaurant? Or, when you guys state that a certain resorts 'food court' is good, do you mean one of the food places on site? For instance, we will be staying at POR in Oct. (first trip:bounce: ). I have heard about Boatwrights and would like to try it. But I also read somewhere that the food court at POR was good. Huh?
What can I expect to get at the food court? Is it vending machines and soda fountains?
Okay - I know you are laughing:hyper: , but I would appreciate you indulging me and please explain to me what I can expect to find in the food court at POR.
Thanks!

Ok, let's see if I can help. Boatwrights is the sit-down style restaurant where you go in, sit down and order off the menu and are served. The food courts are a court area where you go up and order your food (different areas for different foods at POR) and then they have one central check out area. You get your own drinks and seat yourselves.

We stayed at POR last April and thought the food court was pretty good for a food court and only ate at Boatwrights once. It was ok but didn't impress us greatly. A lot of that might have had to do with how tired we were. We would try it again though.

Have fun on your stay!!

Try allearsnet.com. I think you can pull up all the Disney menus there. The food court is pretty good at POR and Boatwrights is OK. I think breakfast is better than dinner. You can also go to POFQ, the sister resort to POR, and try their food court as well. With the boat to DTD, you have many other choices there too.

One of the reasons POR is our favorite is that we like the food court. We have never eaten at Boatwrights (in 9 stays), but I have heard that people come from other resorts for the breakfast there.

POR is our summer home away from home. Just waiting to get the AP codes for our annual August trip.

The food court is exactly what is is..a Food Court. Almost similar to one at a shopping mall. A variety of food choices. ( although not a wide selection. ) Boatrights is a sit down resturant.

If you are "on the go" the food court is the thing. If you have time, which I suggest you find, Boatrights is VERY good.

BUT if you are buying a 16oz. minute maid OJ...buy it from the Fultons store and not from the food court. They are 1.50 in the store and $3 in the food court. I inquired about this and was told that the store and food court are 2 seperate businesses.

Its a one minute walk away.

It took us 3 years to figure this out. SO, in the mornings I go to the store and buy the OJ and then head for breakfast at the food court.

We stayed at POR in October and ate at both Boatwrights and the food court. We had awesome made to order omelets at the food court. We enjoyed talking with the chef as he made our order. The kids had pancakes and bacon. The omelets also came with fried potatoes and a biscuit.

The food court also has very delicious pastries. Husband had the chocolate cake and I had the pecan pie and kids had the worms in dirt dessert. Yummy!

At Boatwrights we had the Stuffed French Toast, to die for!!! I also had a fruit smoothie that everyone around me had to order after seeing mine!

You really cant go wrong with either. Enjoy POR!!

Wishing everyone a "magical" day!
