Hi! We have been WDW many times and the last few times we have been able to stay at deluxe resorts. We decided to save a little money this time. Here are the 3 choices we are considering. . .

POR, Royal Room, Regular Dining (We have stayed here before but obviously not in a royal room)

CBR, standard room, regular dining (We have never stayed here)

AOA, Little Mermaid Room, Deluxe Dining

It will be Me, DH, DD5, DD2 With the regular dining we will still be paying for a couple meals out of pocket.

We have a lot of ADR's in the magic kingdom resort area but don't want to spend the money to stay in one of those resorts. We will have a car with us.

Without a doubt, I would choose AofA. Brand new resort and you can fit into the Little Mermaid rooms...perfect for 2 little girls.

I have one night booked at AofA before we move into my moms time share for a week and I am more excited about that one night than I am for the rest of the week!

i would do AoA for sure and save even more money by getting regular dining instead of Deluxe. (do you really need/want 3 table service meals a day?)

Thanks for the input! I changed my reservation to AoA. DD5 loves Ariel and DD2 will love all the big icons I am sure. I am very excited! We haven't decided yet if we will do deluxe dining or not. Eating is DH's favorite part of the trip and the girls and I like the character meals. So with the deluxe dining we can do what we both like. Plus we already are planning on CRT and the backyard BBQ both of which are 2TS. We will see. Thanks again

How is it obvious that you haven't stayed in a royal room?:confused3

The royal rooms just opened less than 2 months ago. I guess I could have stayed there but sadly I didn't. :) So I guess it wasn't completely obvious.

Maybe because they just opened them? Like to argue much?
no, actually if you knew me, i'm quite the opposite. i wasn't looking to argue, just asked a question. Did you notice the "confused" smiley.

tink76, thanks for setting me straight. i had no idea they just opened.
