How much is 2 rooms at ASMO running you? Are you doing room only and buying passess separately? I was at ASMU a few years back when Pop Werner was there - so my vote is to RUN!!!!!!


I personally observed the football players tiolet papering the trees - throwing cups into the pool - generally trashing the place! - this is when we decided to look into DVC and bought in - now I am not saying buy dvc for a vacation but there is a rent trade board for DVC on these boards and a 1bdrm at OKW which is extremely ROOMY!!!! full kitchen,jacuzzi tub, separate shower. W&D 2 TV's, DVD player Patio/balcony - would be $2020. for your time at $10/pt and if you just got a studio its $960. for your time there - studios have a dorm style fridge, microwave oven, coffee maker and toaster,


and I would 99.9% sure there will be NO POP WERNER KIDS THERE!



But be warned - the first 2 weeks of Dec are VERY POPULAR for DVC folks so availibilty is ???


I don't have ANY POINTS TO RENT - but many folks do - and different resorts cost different amounts so check it out.

I've never been there when Pop Warner was there but I was there in Feb when the teenage cheerleaders were there and let me warn everybody you may want to avoid this week if you can.

When we stayed at Caribbean Beach Resort it was over run by the most god awful girl I have ever met, and I'm only 25 so I remember high school very well.

There was no supervision, these girls ran wild all night long. It was impossible to enjoy the pools or hot tub because they were always filled with cheerleaders. Many of them were harassing people to buy alcohol for them. Also the food court and buses were way over crowded.

And enjoying the view from the beach, forget about it. The way they were chasing the birds and using the hammocks as swings you'd think they were four years old.

When we were coming home from MGM one night we happened to be on a bus with two different squads….I’m still not sure what happened. One minute they were being “catty” and the next minute it was a big ball off hair pulling screaming girls. The bus driver had to pull over and call another bus to take one of the squads.

To be fair not all the squads were bad, we met one group that was very well behaved and I would have happily shared a hotel with them any day but the bad ones really over shadowed the good ones.

Did it ruin my vacation? Please! It’s Disney of course it was fun, but I wouldn’t advise going the week of the Cheerleaders…..I’m willing to bet that they are worse then the Pop Warner crowd.

But on the plus side I never needed a wake up call, every morning at 7am they were in the court yards clapping and cheering…not the worse way to wake up.

yikes! Thanks for your input. I guess I'll try a mod resort (hubby won't be happy -- we loved having 2 rooms last time.) Does anyone know if one of the moderates is definitely free of screaming screeching cheerleaders?
My husband is in the army reserves so i guess i'll chech out the swan & dolphin too.

Hi- why not check Shades of Green? I would guess that you would have any problem there! One room is like 77.00 and the second room would be 99.00- remember they are tax free for when you buy tickets and such....
