Popular things you just don't get..

I don't 'get' stupid cough/colds that last 18 days+ with no sign of improvement... :sad2:  :sad1:

 We have that here as well, and i dont get it either !!!! yet another reason to hate winter.

   So true!!! And I used to think I liked it FGS!!! I'm thinking Spring, Summer and Autumn win hands down...

Feeling extra sorry for myself this morning as I've run out of sinus drugs... ;)

I love Ikea... The restaurant that is! Me and the bf have been known to drive to Warrington just to have dinner there and not actually buy anything from the shop :rotfl: Shopping in there has to be some form of torture, but I just love those meatballs and gravy :rolleyes1

 Me too! We love Ikea too but I agree its a generational thing - when we bought our house 2 years ago and had three bedrooms etc to funish it brilliant because it was such good value for money. A lot of the furniture is meant for people first stepping onto the property ladder :thumbsup2

I have a new one to add - McDonalds I hate the place

Thats a good one, I've never quite understand why anybody would have a chinese take-away but order chips :confused3 in fact I don't understand why they even sell them :upsidedow

Our chinese even sells omlette and shepards pie, I don't understand that either :confused3

I used to love them, but I swear they have changed the recipe so they are really sickly now! I have to go for the small portion, or I end up feeling a wee bit sicky!

Luckily my boyfriend lives within a (long) walking distance of Ikea, so we can walk them off on the way home (or the bus if we are lazy!)

I have to admit I do this all the time, so I'd be very upset if they stopped selling chips...

My reasoning? I'm a fussy eater and don't like any of the traditional chinese accompaniments (rice, noodles etc). However - there are a number of chinese main dishes that I adore (crispy duck, orange duck, lemon chicken among others) and so I order chips as a way of allowing me to have a full meal :goodvibes

I order chips sometimes, depending on what Chinese i'm in, there are 2 near where I live that do the best noodles but the other are horrible & i'm not a fan of rice

OMG, chips from the chinese restaurant are SOOOO much nicer than chips from anywhere else!!! I love chinese chips!

I still get all the chinese stuff, as I love chinese food so it's not a fussy thing, I just love chips from the chinese!

Yesterday was a late finish. After work we took Matt to view a college. On our way home we called at chinese just for chips, delicious.
Our chinese does the best special curry & chips in the world.
For me rice is nothing special, I can make it at home and do every week, chips I have to buy, no chip pan or fryer so always have chips with any take-away.
