Popular things you just don't get..

Dole whip floats too.

I love pineapple more than anyone I know, but dole whip is just far too sickly.

When at Aloha Isle I favour root beer with vanilla dole whip in it. Nummmmm.

For me rice is nothing special, I can make it at home and do every week, chips I have to buy, no chip pan or fryer so always have chips with any take-away.

I have to disagree, rice done well by somebody else who knows how to do it properly is nicer than any rice I can make. Chips done at home from potatos, part boiled first then fried is something very special IMHO. It's amazing how many kids come home to our house for tea and are confused to see me cooking chips that haven't come from the oven and that I cut from potato - some kids didn't even know chips were made from potato :upsidedow

We have rice at home more than chips. DD loves rice, chicken and vegtables together.

I used to love it when my mum made fresh chips, they were always the best kind:goodvibes

Sainsbury's Taste the Difference chips are pretty darn good IMO, not as good as 'proper' chips done in fryer or chip pan (I have never owned and never intend to own either..!) but definitely the nicest frozen chips i've tried and the only ones i'll buy now :)
I love takeaway rice, I think preparing it in a rice cooker makes a big difference :) Every Chinese takeaway or restaurant around here offers chips, though i'd never have them with a Chinese meal myself. Some people I know have both!!
I think McDonalds is gross usually, but a couple of times a year I get a craving for one of their cheeseburgers so I buy one and then just 'crash' afterwards from all the salt and sugar and vow never to touch one again! This of course lasts another 6 months and so on...

My Nan used to shallow fry chips in lard - a unique taste that I have never tried to recreate! :lmao:

I eat frozen chips occasionally out of convenience (I'm thinking about a quick lunch or dinner at the weekend), but I far prefer ones made fresh from potato.

Having said that, I used to make oven chips from fresh potato on occasion at uni by cutting the potato and placing it direct into the oven - no boiling or frying.

I do this at least twice a week. (Got them in the oven now in fact.)

What we do though is chop up potato and sweet potato in wedges/cubes/chip shapes then spray with fry light and add cajun seasoning.

Num num num, AND they are very low points on weight watchers!!

I also hate Coffee, the smell is disgusting and god knows why people would drink it. I will stick with a cup of hot chocolate :)

I'm making sweet potato chips tonight in the Actifry (OMG I love that thing!!! :worship: ) - absolutely delicious... :goodvibes

OK, I do not 'get' side zips on dresses and tops!!! I can never contort my body enough to do them up so have to put them on with the zip done up - which is a bit of an effort, to put it mildly!!! And, on a couple of my tops, the side zip makes the top flare out weirdly and ruins the shape!!!

::yes::
and I don't think they actually gain you any help in getting into the top or dress either :confused3

i love making Slimming world chips, theyre yummy and free when i have them.

I cant stand Tea-yuck :rotfl2:

Another coffee hater here...bleugh. And what about coffee filled sweets and coffee cake - what a way to spoil nice food!!
