POP's latest&greatest Frig Swap (still have openings)

OK I am way late in trying to plan this trip. We will be at the POP Sept 11-25.
Also looking for suggestions on how to spend the time there. We have a 10 day pass that includes the water parks.

Sorry Crystal, the fridge isn't available then. In fact, I'll be using it for part of that time, 9-6 to 9-16.

You won't have any problem filling the time. It's amazing how fast time flies once you are there. To me, it seems that when you first arrive you think "Wow, I have 10 days-that's so much time" Then before you know it you're leaving in 2 days and you have so much more to do! Definitely do the water parks, at least one of them-we plan on doing both! We absolutely love them! I think it's our favorite part (or at least a close 2nd) of the trip.


Have you made any ADRs yet? Are you driving or flying? Rental Car? First trip? I can answer any ?? you might have-just send me a PM before Wed. night. Then it'll be too late as I'll be in the "World"! There's so much to do, and so little time!

Are you staying at POP? If so, we'll be there part of the same time.

Thanks for the info, I may need to start a fridge swap myself. This is our first trip to WDW. We are flying out of Orange County. I did not plan on a rental just using the bus. We will be staying at the POP from 9/11-9/25 with the 10 day passes with water park option and DDP. We are taking the kids out of school to take advantage of the free DDP. They are 11, 9, 7 as of 9/16, and 4. We have tix for everyone but only DDP for 2 adults and 2 kids. So we really need to stretch the DDP. Is there a link that explains th eDDP. I am so overwhelmed. I read your dining review and that was very helpful. What does OOP stand for? I was not ven considering Narcoossee’s, but may need to splurge! I really do not understand the credits. Any advice you could give would be great. I really want to get the most out of this vacation because this may be our one and only chance to go. Thanks in advance for your insight, you look like a pro at this. I am so clueless

Hi everyone! Got back late last night. Had a great trip! I will post a TR later. For those who have asked for dates I will get back to you within the next day or so. Lots of laundry to do!!

Also, still looking for someone to take over the handling.

The fridge is still in good condition. I added a stick-on Arm and Hammer deodorizer. With all the switches and changes with fridges that have gone on, we now have a larger one. Plenty of room for all your leftovers, water, and sodas.

Hey, I just got back late last night. The frige is in storage for the next person. I don't know if we've "swapped" with another swap or not, but our fridge is now black, and there is no box for the fridge. There's still a toaster inside, and a second box with a Mr. Coffee coffee pot. I also left a huge can of glowsticks inside that were leftover from the previous swapper (thanks mickeyhat! We used and gave away quite a few of them).

I found it very helpful to take two signs with the next person's name/reservation #/arrivial dates to tape to the fridge/box. Especially if you know you are going to have to leave them in storagae.

Thanks again Dizneydaz for all the hardwork! Someone needs to take this thing over so she can have a break!

Thanks for letting us know. Yes, our fridge has been swapped (again) The one I had was white, and much larger than the one I originally bought. Is the black one same size as Pop's or bigger? Glad the toaster/coffee pot is still with us. And yes, I need someone to take this over. I think POP just gives swappers any fridge that is available.

Magic happens! I just got off the phone with a CM from Magical Express who called me to let me know our fridge and other box have been unclaimed since 9-16. (The day I left). She said she'd been spending the last few hours trying to locate the owner's of some of the many fridges in storage. Luckily, our boxes had my personal contact info on them and so she called me and stayed on the line while I checked to see who was next in line. As it turns out, the next swapper arrives tomorrow and I called Fire14 and let her know that the fridge, toaster, etc. that she has aren't ours and she'll be leaving them in the room when she checks out. ILuvJimny will be picking up the right boxes tomorrow and everything will be good again.

It looks like mickeyhat (swapper after me) was given the wrong boxes. It looks like POP just gave him one of theirs and according to Fire14 it was pretty beat up and didn't have a freezer. So, now all should be well. Our bigger and better fridge, toaster, and coffee pot will be back in their rightful place tomorrow.

I'm sorry that the swappers since 9-16 haven't had the nicer fridge but that is the reason that in-person swaps are so important to do, if possible. Also, it's a nice chance to talk to another Disboarder, face to face. I really enjoyed meeting, and talking, to 4everluvDisney when we did our swap. Plus she gave us her leftover water bottles and a few snacks! (thanks 4ever.... )

So, even though we didn't get any official Magical Moments while there, the magic still continues to flow (all the way to California!)

Oh, and I'm still looking for someone to take this over-how about someone from Dec or Jan.?
