Tia - Hooray for Terry saying yes. How exciting ! I can't decide whether to advantage of Bounceback or still continue to plan for December. I really want to be there for MVMCP. I almost hit the trigger and booked the other day but figured I till had awhile. Or do I try and swing both ? It is still over a year away !

DMM - Who were you using for the Visa GC ? We give these to my SIL all the time and used them in the past but have never had a problem. I believe we have bought them from AAA and directly from Visa in the past.

Amex used to have one as well specifically in place of travelors check.

Morning all! On our way back out in a few. Hope you all are having a great weekend!
We hate these things! They don't always work and then you have to find the bank that they came from and you end up walking around with all this cash. It has happened to us twice and we are soo greatful we had the reciepts with us. (MIL gave them to us for the holidays one year he got one and the next I got one) They were from 2 different banks and they are a NIGHTMARE! I believe there was a thread about these around Christmas time on the Budget board.

Really?? YIKES! They looked so much easier than Travelers Checks. Hmmm. Well I have a few days to think about it still. I will do a search here and see what that discussion was about! Thanks for the input though.

Not sure who they were through, MIL gave them to us from Banks. They have the bank name on the card. It was too long ago to remember The budget Board thread had people from all over that had problems with them. All we had to do was take them back to where they were purchased with the gift reciept and they looked it up to make sure it was activated and not used and then they gave us the cash instead. (Minus like a .30 charge or something like that.) It was just a pain to be at a register somewhere and the lady telling you that it was declined.


We're back from all our outings! Autumn got her hair cut today and it's too cute, now they are all playing outside and I came in to take a nap, but got distracted of course

No, this was a different contest...all one night with judges.

I'm thinking not, but I haven't really read too much about it. I could be wrong.


So I didn't place at the contest. My own stupid fault...I messed up the first song I sang. After I sang I was depressed because I knew I had no chance, but then a bunch of people told me they didn't even notice so I got hope...which was once again dashed. The girl who won second was amazing. The girl who won fourth was okay, but I really thought I was better then her. The girls who won 1st and 3rd made me want to puke. They did choreographed showtunes. The 1st girl did a show tune and then How Great Thou Art, but apparantly she has an amazing range and needed everyone to know that. IMO just because you can sing inhumanly high, doesn't mean you should. But oh well. The thing that bothers me is I don't know if I could've won had I hadn't messed up....and I have to wait a whole year to sing again!

PJ--Got some new info...sounds like if you check in, then immediately book you MAY be okay. But you have to put down a 200 deposit right away. Someone posted the number to call is x8844from the hotel phone.
