Hi everyone. This is my first chance I have had to get on the computer today.
I just wanted to say a quick hello! I read all the posts and will hopefully catch up tomorrow or Sunday.
Have a GREAT weekend all!

Hi gang,
I'm home from work. I go into the locker room to change into my uniform to start my shift and there is a funny smell in the locker room. I know i have smelled it before but just can't place what exactly it is. I open my locker find no uniforms or other stuff we carry, instead the guys at the fire house removed all my stuff and put a fish tank in my locker with clown fish. You see the other night the guys were watching a game on t.v. and i changed channels to see what else was on and saw that finding nemo was on and began to watch it. The others objected to me watching nemo over thier baseball game but being the senior man has it's prividges! So to get me back someone put a fish tank in my locker. It was a small one maybe 10 gallons at most, still i had a good laugh.

On a side note we got a new captain last week, recently promoted to captain, this guy is a real piece of work and i don't mean in a nice way. The guys are trying to figure out a way to kill him and make it look like an accident, i told them being run over by a 3 ton FDNY rig 200 times does not look like an accident. The good news he is being shipped out to the bronx in 2 weeks to his premenant fire house, Thank god!! Still i feel for the guys in the bronx alot. All is well here! Al right i gonna go catch up on this thread a little.

How long does it take to drive to WDW? Wouldn't it be cool to just say...hmm, we've got monday off, lets go to WDW for the weekend? I think its like 14 hour drive though, so basically we'd be there just for tomorrow.

What a STUNNNNNING picture! WOW! I love it! :thumbsup2

I will be bringing a full size coffee pot with Hazlenut Dunky Donuts coffee AND S/F Hazlenut creamer! :cool1:

I agree! Timmy that's just an awesome picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm bringing a full size pot and Starbucks with s/f vanilla creamer!!!

hey cat? are you doing the pot swap???? or are you bringing your own? I couldn't get in on a swap so i'm just bringing one I bought at Big Lots for $10.

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

The Corbin/Drake/Aly & AJ concert was not so bad last night. We had 5th row seats and the girls went crazy!!! Grace loves Corbin, Casey loves Aly&AJ,...& actually Drake Bell is a pretty good singer...think Paul McCartney with a bluesy feel. So in addition to the concert, the food, the parking we spent $150 on t-shirts, posters, and lanyards!!!!!:rotfl: oh well, they had fun. Now I have to wait & buy those darn Miley Cyrus tickets next week.

Not much happenin today...cleaning the house, finally getting some laundry put away and then I think I'm scrappin

Have a great weekend everyone!

Nice! LOLOL! :lmao:

Do you know the only place I was ever spoken to NOT english, was when I lived in Florida.... Once at the post office, once at Burger King, once at Taco Bell and once at the Currency Exchange. They just went right into spanish, and I looked baffled the first time, and then learned to say "I dont speak Spanish" and then they'd re-do their schpiel in English.

Ill be honest with you, and it may not be PC to say but I was annoyed. :sad2:

!

I couldnt get in the swap, so then I told the swap girl I'd bring my own pot and DONATE it if she wanted to start another swap. We had just bought a grinding new pot - so this is still a nice one....we paid like$70 for it last year B&Decker.

Im bringing Dunky's and Hazlenut.... Go to Chris if you want vanilla, me if you want hazlenut!

Do any of you have any experience with Gout? I think I got it in my thumb. I woke up to a swollen, stiff PAINFUL joint. I wanna die. :sad1: It REALLLLLY hurts.

Okay, I'm like :scared1: Why are you talking about swapping pot?!?! Oh. coffee pots. Serious double take.

Cat--I read some stuff and you need to see a doctor this week for some drugs. In the mean time, you can take ibuprofin for the pain, apply preparation H (reduce swelling), and ice it 20-30 minutes at a time several times a day (for pain). Stay away from beer (any alcohol really), ASPIRIN, animal protein and fat (these make it worse). Low fat dairy products are good for prevention. I got this all from wikipedia btw.

Reading on...caffiene is bad too. Just read the wikipedia article on gout.

Thanks Rebecca - I read it and I think thats whats going on. Since I low-carb and take a diuretic for HBP, thats 2 causing points. Great. BLAH.

It freaking hurts.

Morning all!
I just got off the phone with my husband and I kind of brought up the Bounce Back program, totally expecting him to say no. Well... HE SAID YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He does not like Disney at all so I was so ready to hear "You and Ry can go if you want!" But instead he said that after being gone for 2 years, he just wants to take a family vacation and since he knows Ryan and I love it so much, he is totally down with going! My heart skipped a few beats because that was not the reaction I was expecting. I told him if we rented a car, we could even go over to IoA and Universal which he was excited about. He told me to go ahead and book it! :yay: Now I guess I need to start pricing packages and see if we want to do a moderate or value. Probably won't go for a Deluxe. He has agreed to go, I don't want to scare him! I wish I could pull off a DVC rental, but at this point I will take what I can get.

I had a great yard sale yesterday which gave me some nice padding for our trip. I also started putting a box together to ship down there. I know you all have done that before right? Do you just put your name, reservation number and check in date on it? Also have any of you done a pre paid Visa card? I am thinking about getting them instead of travelers checks.

Chris - We are boring and just do autograph books! So I have no clue. :confused3 Oh and I am mailing out your sheets on Tuesday! You should have them by then end of this week, beginning of the next!

Ok, I need to go check up on the other threads. I am on CLOUD 9 right now! :cloud9:

Morning all! On our way back out in a few. Hope you all are having a great weekend!

We hate these things! They don't always work and then you have to find the bank that they came from and you end up walking around with all this cash. It has happened to us twice and we are soo greatful we had the reciepts with us. (MIL gave them to us for the holidays one year he got one and the next I got one) They were from 2 different banks and they are a NIGHTMARE! I believe there was a thread about these around Christmas time on the Budget board.

Hi everyone!

Cat- I hope your thumb gets better! You can't have it hurting on your trip!

Tia- That's awesome that Terry said yes! :cool1:

I upgraded to AKL yesterday from CSR! I'm so excited!
