Been on the phone alot this morning finally got a date for the big party in MExico, July 12! So yaay it's less than a year away! Been trying to book our hotel room and it's been nuts! There are only 2 places i want to stay, since my parents house out there is going to be full! Well one place has no rooms left and I will be trying the next place after lunch!! woohoo!!

It was a long day today. A good friend of mine found out her huband has been cheating on her for a year and 4 months !! He is even has twins he never knew about ! I couldn't believe it ! It was so hard to comfort her ! I know he really just needed someone to listen but it was hard to come up with the right thing to say. You jut want to make them feel better !

Hi gang,
So i'm officaly in the auto market. I am looking for a new car. I currently have a mercury le sable LX, it has over 70,000 miles on it and with all of those miles being inner city driving, well its on the way out. I usually always traded cars in when they hit 50,000 , but this one i just kept with. So now i have to decided what to get. I know one thing is for sure. I need something with 4 wheel drive!! When most people get work off cause of severe stroms and blizzards, well the NYC fire dept is always open. If anything they makes us come in on severe stroms.


If you guys remember the nyc blizzard of 2002, where we got over 34 inches of snow. The national guard was sent out in hummers(the real army ones) to pick FDNY personnal who could not get thier cars out of the snow. Once at work me and few of the other men and women were deployed with them and made us rapid response vechiles. Because the real FDNY rigs were really having a hard time in the snow. So all night i drove around the city answering 911 calls with 4 national guardsmen, as my escort all of whom were armed to the teeth with m16's and such. I felt like i was the presidnet and had my own security detail.

The one thing i noticed all the FDNY personall with suv's and 4 wheel drive trucks did not need to be picked up from home from the national guard and after work just jumped into thier trucks and had no problem getting unstuck with all the snow and drove home. So i need something with 4 wheel drive, i figure. I'm looking at a few different models but 2 have caught my eye. The toyota Rav4 and the honda Crv all seem very nice. I am going car shopping the next couple of weeks. I will let you all know how it turns out. Hope all are well!!!

Those 12 parents who have a passion for the Walt Disney World vacation experience will have the opportunity to share their vast knowledge of the resort and personal secrets of success with other families who are considering this magical vacation experience. In exchange, the 12 panelists will receive a 6-day/5-night vacation to the Florida resort for themselves and three other guests.

“Through our consumer research we know that there are aspects of a Walt Disney World vacation that can be challenging to the primary vacation planner, most often that means mom,” said Meg Crofton, president of Walt Disney World Resort. “We could not think of a better way to provide vacation planning advice than to create an online forum. This will assist guests who are looking for real and reliable vacation recommendations that fit their family’s travel needs.”

The Walt Disney World Moms Panel will be found online at www.disneyworldmoms.com and feature content provided by the panel. It will also offer guests the opportunity to pose specific questions and have them answered by the panelists. The site, which goes live in January 2008, will host valuable park insights and vacation planning tools for those parents planning a Walt Disney World vacation.

“For families interested in taking a Walt Disney World vacation, the interactive site will feature a wealth of helpful planning information, expert tips and advice about various topics related to visiting the Walt Disney World Resort,” said Crofton.

Morning all - I FINALLY have some time to dis...geesh...it's been so crazy here & then every time I could hop on....the dang boards were down!

ok so I didn't quote...but let me see if I can rememebr...

PJ - I have a CRV and my mil has a Rav.....they are pretty comprable cars. The one difference my kids pointed out....they said the back seat in grandma's car is SO uncomfortable! Casey has been out of a car seat for years...so she's sitting directly on the seat & Grace has been in a booster. but they both say the back of the seat...like where your back rests is very hard and uncomfortable. Also in the Rav...(at least mil's) there are no arm rests for the driver. I like arm rests. The cup holders are down on the floor...(i have short arms). The drive itself is pretty much the same. I compared those 2 cars when we bought the crv. Although my mil loves her rav...I like the crv better.

Lori - BLAH isn't that just awful to try to comfort someone on? It's so hard to just listen...your first gut reaction is to call her dh a few choice names...but then sometimes they get mad at you for calling their dh names, I've had a couple of friends go thru it, and it's just ugly.

Jen - Hopefully today I'll have time to look at your pics....I still so want to go to DL maybe someday.

Mich - How long will you get to stay in Mexico? Did you get that second hotel?

So...Timmy, Cat, Tia & Lori are all leaving soon right?? I've got 12 days & I'm stressing. There were so many things I wanted to get done, that just didn't make it. I had wanted to make the girls an Epcot passport - just something different than the one in the park. Didn't get to it. I'm going to hopefully get the suitcases out today. & I've got to pack them & shove them under my bed! They still have no clue!!!!

Last night was parent night at Gracies school...we had to fill out these mystery questionaires...the teacher is going to pick a mystery reader every week...& give the kids clues Mon - Thurs as who is coming in on Friday....anyway...one of the questions "If I could be anywhere in the world I would be...." I wrote - Walking down Main Street in the Magic Kingdom..... how long before Gracie figures out it's me ya think????? I'm reading October 26th. The week of her bday. So I also managed to volunteer to run the holiday, & halloween parties. be in charge of the scholastic book orders, and come in once a week to read with them...hahahah I had nothing else to do!!!!

So I know its all part of the uniform...but I wonder if the M16s were really necessary. I was terrified when I had my M16...I mean, I was the one who put it together...it could've fallen apart at any moment!

Chris - Yes, we leave in 5 days! My best friend (who lives in AZ) left this morning! They have been in the air about 30 minutes.
I can make those passports if you want me to! I made 2 for my friend Rachael's kids and I am making 2 for us. I can easily make 2 more. Once you get everything lined up in Word (which was a pain) it's just printing them off and cutting them out. Let me know. I am making 4 shirts for Bonnie (Bonz on our other thread) too! Yeah... but it's all good, I like doing things for other people. OH and you will HOPEFULLY get your sheets soon. I sent them priority, so here's hoping it won't take too long!

Ry has an upset tummy... I am debating on if he should stay home or not! I told him he has to watch how much school he misses. It's hard when you live with a Drama King to know what is for real for real sick and what is kinda sick but I really just want to stay home.

Mich - How long will you get to stay in Mexico? Did you get that second hotel?

I think we are aiming for a little over a week (since we don't want to give up our DIsney Trip next year either and we like to take little long weekend trips throughout the year too!)

No go on the 2nd hotel, it's too early to book, but my mom is heading out there next week (grandma is not feeling too well and asked my mom to head otu for a bit) is going to see if they do it differently for locals!

I will post pics of this place it's AMAZING!!! HOWEVER i'm worried that my 2 boys (never worry about Autumn) will make the serenity of this fancy place go right out the window! hahahaha!

The terms of the "mom's panel" did not mention that you actually needed to be a mom. So you could defintely apply and do so!!! They also did not mention that you needed to be female, so maybe i do have a chance after all!!! Today's opening day for gracie's soccer....The Fireballs...(the uniform is red )

& this afternoon I'm going to the Northbrook ice rink...they are having a USFSA Sectional competition....& the WORLD champion Chicagoland Ice Theatre has been asked to perform

Then tonight...we're having a few friends over...for steak/shrimp, kids can swim & we're playing poker

I gotta tell you guys about this book i'm reading...it's about positive attraction and you attract what you put out there...i know it's pretty out there...but I think I might just believe it

Ok - gotta talk about Flat Sally - you know the Flat Stanley book...Gracie's class is doing Flat Sally....shes supposed to send her all around the world...Can I send her to you guys??? PJ do you think you could take a pic with your rig & Sally??? I just need the pics emailed to me. I'm gonna color copy Sally & send her out...so no one has to send her back. When Casey did this we knew someone in Australia, and my cousins hubby was in the Navy & he was on a ship in the Indian Ocean....so she had REALLY cool ones. I'm trying to think of what/who to send gracei's Sally...of course we'll bring her to WDW with us. any thoughts????
