Good idea Mich! I'll do that

ok I did it....I put a custom scrapbook up on ebay...really for a bargin. Only $95 for 20 pages. (really 40 front/back)....If only a few people buy them, I'm golden! Not to sound :snooty: but I can poop out 20 nice layouts in a couple of days. Now I'll have to wait & see how much the materials cost. But when I looked on ebay & other places, I wanted to price myself just below what's out there...I just need someone who wants to give it a try!

cross your fingers & toes!

:rotfl: I was gonna ask you your ID, but then as I clicked "quote" I saw it.

:bored:

Let's have a question of the day......

What is your favorite type of candy????

This is a tough one, but i will go with Kit Kats today!

Most anything chocolate.... but alltime favorite is Toffifay!!!!!

ahh if we talked chips it's Doritos for me!

I can't sleep :sad2:

Cool Ranch Doritos!!!! popcorn::

:hippie: Everyone!!!

Had lots to catch up on. Hope everyone is feeling better. PJ, glad to hear about your trip. We leave before you arrive though. You can have a birthday party for my DD if you want to though.... 9/29 LOL:rotfl2:

I should do this ebay thing too. Do you guys make out well on it? Some "expert" said that the average person has $2,200 in crap around their house that they could sell. When I told DH about that, he said, "then we have $22,000"..... Not sharing Rob's comment with my father, I told him the $2200 estimate, and he estimated, "in your house it's more like $120,000"....I guess they are trying to tell me I buy too much crap???? So, I guess I should do that and help out with the Disney addiction expense too? I'm just worried that nobody will want my junk and I will end up more in debt, given the listing fees and stuff! ;)

Talk to ya all soon:hug:

What I do is search for what I have to sell before I list it. I sold these books on ebay for $20 that I got for $8 on Barnes and Noble. I just did a search and saw what they were selling for. If something is selling for $1 (like most CDs), its probably not worth it to list. When I get motivated, I plan to dejunk my house and move everything to the basement. Then split everything into an ebay and a yard sale pile. Small, light items generally sell best on ebay.

DEFINATELY research what you put up and it's all in the listing titles! I usually clear about 100$ a week, but i sell small stuff like jewelry. Every now and then I throw up some Vintage toys or a garage sale find that bumps that up. That 100 is after all fees and such it's just pure profit. So it's nice :)

I keep it real safe though and only list about 20 items per week. I try and wait for big listing sales too on stuff i'm not too sure about.

Morning all :)

That's what I do with ebay as well. I search to see what items have sold for int he past before putting mine up there. For the American Girl sale, I did a search for the items that I know will be there...& then I decide what I'm gonna buy & try to sell.

I used to put up about 20 things per week. But I've had to kick it into high gear here so I've got 40 up this time. BUT I won't list anything next week since we leave on Thursday for CT/NY. Still looking for more ways to earn some money.......& not spend any! Today we're going to the beach - packed sandwiches already. So it'll be a free day!

Tomorrow we're going to Navy Pier....so I know I'll spend some there. We already have our train tickets, and tickets for the Chinese Circus, but I'll need money for lunch. We always bring our own water so that's not an issue.

Have a great day everyone

Thanks for the pointers girls! When I do get organized a little this sounds like a good way to bring in some extra $$! I feel like my house is closing in on me! The bigger stuff, maybe I will just give to Salvation Army, or just take what I can get from the Children's Orchard. I think I am definately done having kids, so all that changing table, swing, highchair, pack n play and all that big stuff has to GO!!!!!! :thumbsup2

So, what is on everyone's agenda today???? I am going to try to take one room, and go through it. At least put everything down the cellar that we don't use. Mission Wednesday: Living Room. (every day it is mission living room, but I figure if I tell you guys, then I have to 'answer' to someone(s) if it doesn't get done!!!!:thumbsup2 )

TTYL

Not much going on here today. All I need to do is run to the post office. Yesterday was craziness, so today is not. The ortho is removing Jul's expander next month and getting started on the bottom one.
Keep on task and get that room done!!! You will feel so good when it is done.

Has anyone read 'Baby Proof'? I have it if anyone wants to.

That's awesome news! :yay: Hopefully your DH will understand!

I took the morning off to go register for school and then went to Hobby Lobby to go look for those Mickey buttons (which they didn't have  ) but... they had the scrapbooking supplies half off. So I had to buy a scrapbook and some Disney stickers! :yay:

Hi everyone!
We are leaving Colorado tomorrow, and I am getting very sad. I always hate leaving and now it is even harder for me because of Lori and her family. Honestly, she is one of the coolest chicks I have ever met and I am SO fortunate to be able to have spent this past week with her, Dan, Austin and Ella. It has been such a great time. Of course, all good things must come to an end. Good news is, we have under 2 months until our Disney trip! These past 2 weeks have been such a great break from Arizona. I don't want to go back, but I am also looking forward to getting busy with my PQ stuff. The convention was awesome and the new products are out of this world. PLUS there are two trips this year that I want to earn so I need to get busy! One of them is after Terry gets home, so I think it would be super special to take him on an all expenses paid trip as a welcome home gift! :goodvibes

Let's see if I can rememebr everything that was talked about....
PJ - I am so happy you get to go to WDW! I am sad though that you couldn't be there the middle of Sept!
Michelle - How is your Dad feeling?
Chris - When I read you might not be able to go I was sooooo upset! But now I see it is totally possible! I AM SO HAPPY that things are going to work out. Keep at it! I might have to have you do a scrapbook for me because although I want to do one, I don't even know where to begin!
Jen - Nice to see you posting again!
Rebecca - Are you feeling better?
Colleen - I thought you went MIA on us too! Glad to see you back!
Cat - Thanks for the funny myspace comment. I LOVED it!
Nicole - Hope you are having a great week!

If I left anyone one out, it was not intentional!

Ok, time to go pack some more. Have a great day everyone!

YAY Chris! Congrats on the good news!

woohoo thanks for this news! i need to get some stuff :) Sorry they didn't have the buttons there :sad2:

TIa, glad you had a good trip! have a safe trip home ::yes::

Dad is doing well, just started rehab this week, so he is anxious to get going back to work, but they want him to take it a little at a time :faint: He's getting soo bored! Keep in mind he has been off since before our vacation in MAY!! So needless to say he is ready! BUT he has gotten a lot accomplished :) He was able to be there when the roofers came and did that and this week the siding is being done and he is there too :) Next is the interior paint and the windows. My parents decided to overhaul the house these past few months :)

Hi everyone...

Today was a great day! I've got a bunch of bids on my ebay stuff - not on the scrapbook but that's ok (ps - Tia - I would love to make one for you! We could even plan it where "you" had it done before Terry came home!)

Something else I noticed today...in my quest to save money - my family could probably eat for a month just off the food we have in the cabinets/freezer - ok so I have to buy milk/fruit/etc...I counted SEVENTEEN boxes oc mac & cheese and SIX POUNDS of various types of pasta!!!!!!!!! So I'm challenging myself to USE UP ALL THE STUFF IN THE FREEZER/CABINETS before grocery shopping again. That should easily take me into late August without a major shop.

Mich - so glad your dad is doing better
Tia - have a safe trip home
Jen - what DID you get at TDS

hey wait...how's that living room coming???

anyone hear from Timmy lately? Is she ok?

Hi everyone!

With regard to the living room, it is not done...yet..... but I went a little crazy and like hand mopped with a sponge all the hardwood floors and moved the furniture around, so I am proud of the progress made, even though it looks like a bomb went off in there! :scared1:

With regard to dinner.... would that be pasta?:woohoo:

With regard to Timmy, she has a myspace blog going, and that is where I have been reading up on how she is doing. She is home from work sick as far as I last read.

OT question - has anyone ever tried to schedule your time for you? If so, what has your response been? I can provide details after, but I kind of want to know how you guys handle meddling people.

oh, and so far how i have handled it is to get all p-o'ed and eat two cookies totalling 340 calories that I totally did not need!!!!!!!!!!!              :headache:

YEP it was spaghetti!! hahah now I think I need to research some different things to make with all that pasta! ha ha

Sorry Timmy is sick...I'm gonna try to find her myspace blog, I don't do MS but I'm worried. I wonder if we can help.

Hmm, as for your ? ...YES I have people trying to schedule my day ALL the tiem!!! For example dh - " since you have nothing on the calendar can you blah blah and blah blah and blah blah for me while I'm at work?"....or friends...."since Grace is still recovering could you research blah blah for me onl the internet"...OR my MOTHER! - " I tried to call you at 3:16 and you weren't home - you said you weren't busy between noon and 4 today"...

ok so, YES I live with that all the time....What do I do in response.... - Well I've learned to say NO - it's hard...I also make crud up - like "no sorry I can't do that for you today - I have a doctors appointment" - if they ask "which doctor" I just say "the gyne" typically they stop asking....obviously that doesn't work with dh or mom. for them, I just listen quietly, and then say - Sorry, don't know if I'll have the time.

Is that what you mean???????
