Hi gang - wow - this is going to be hard to type...without sobbing...

I may have to cancel my sept trip...ok I probably have to cancel our sept trip. We have a huge insurance deductible...and Gracie's surgery is going to cost us $3000. I just don't know if I can scrape together another $2k for the trip. MIke of course says to just cancel it, what the H*** does he know, he hates disney. I've spent my weekend alternating between being mad as hell and crying. I'm still trying to figure it out, but it doesn't look too promising.

Chris, I agree, wait to cancel until you have to. Maybe Mike will get a bonus or something? Or you'll find something at a yard sale for 25cents that sells on ebay for $1000. Right now I'm working just to afford our Disney trip. It stinks I have to work like 2 months just to pay for it! Thank you for the advice on DH. Yes, he's still doing normal stuff, just angry and yelling at his co-workers. Oh, and he wants to run away (with us coming with him).

But, I am excited b/c today after piano and orthodontist, we are going to TDS! I cannot wait to see the new stuff for the school year! I am afraid I am going to spend way too much b/c Jul is so into the disney fairies and I think they have alot of that.

I need a disney fix and I hope this satisfies it!!!

PJ - While wallowing in my own self pity about my trip - I forgot to say YEAH! for your trip!!! That's a GREAT time to go!


now for more self pity....I'm gonna put a bunch of stuff up on ebay today. We'll see if anything takes off. I'm also going to go ahead & go to the AG sale Saturday. Not for my own dd's but to see what I can snatch up to sell on ebay. There's a couple of things that look to be in pretty high demand, & we've got 7am tickets so....i'll try. I also contacted a friend who had once said she'd love to pay someone to do her scrapbooks...you know, basically just get the pictures into safe albums with a bit of flair. So I looked around and WOW based on the internet sites that advrtise that holy cow! So I offered to start those for her - at a reasonable rate...we'll see.

I talked to my friend Dana - & if I cancel she will too. She said it's no where near as important to her to go to Disney as it is to GO to disney with me. None of the girls know yet, so they won't be disappointed. I've always wanted to go around the holidays...so maybe just maybe this might be a good thing? We've been to 3 MNSSHP's now....maybe I need a break for a year and save money and then go during xmas like I really want to? That free dining is just so DAMN hard to pass up! If I cancel the trip, that would free up money for me to take the girls on one maybe 2 quickie weekend trips this summer/fall. We could do Hershey PA, and maybe 2 nights in the dells. oh heck I don't know WHAT I want to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris, I kind of thought the same thing about going at the end of november. I think if we waited for after the spring break/easter rush then we could go for like 8 or 9 days instead of maybe 5. That makes it seem worth the wait for me. I hate to skip the holiday stuff, but it will be worth the wait.

Chris - Im so sorry, but like others said - do NOT cancel until you are FOR SURE you cant do it. Just wait - something might pan out.

If you sell on eBay, do that Scrapbooky thing, you can come up with $2000 in no time..... Cut back on something...Starbucks? Going out to eat? Anything....do you get your nails done? Do it yourself.


You have 2 months to do so.... 8 weeks. Its $250 / week - thats $35 a DAY!

I do this sort of budgeting all the time... I *DO* pretty much live pay check to pay check...in order for me to do Disney, or whatever it is I want, I have to budget like this to make it more real.

Thirty five bucks a DAY! If you skipped Starbucks, thats $5-ish. Do you go out to eat ever? Thats prolly 2 days worth...

You can figure this out. If you can sell 7 items a week at 35 each OR if you can sell 14 items (what about the kids old clothes, toys, your old purses, bags - anything!) at $17 each.....

See where Im going with this ?It can be done!

Hi gang,
So I made some decisions!! My choice was 6 days at cbr, or 10 days at pop. So i made a little change to my plans, so now i'm arriving at pop on sept 28 until oct 7!! For some reason i think the disney computer had a problem or something cause perferred was only 10 dollars more than not perferred for my whole trip, not per day. So for only 10 dollars more i choose perferred. So now i'm staying at pop perferred for 10 days!!!


NAnu i will look for you!!
Anyone else plan to be there for that time?????

ok I did it....I put a custom scrapbook up on ebay...really for a bargin. Only $95 for 20 pages. (really 40 front/back)....If only a few people buy them, I'm golden! Not to sound but I can poop out 20 nice layouts in a couple of days. Now I'll have to wait & see how much the materials cost. But when I looked on ebay & other places, I wanted to price myself just below what's out there...I just need someone who wants to give it a try!
