Anyone still working on touring plans? I think I have MGM down and EPCOT. For EPCOT we are doing 1 day of FW and 1 day of WS. I hate the plans that make you jump back and forth. For the MK, I am still working and same with AK.
Regarding MNSSHP, how many rides do you usually go on while attending? I read somewhere that lines are short but it is easy to get caught up on the rides and not enjoy the rest of the stuff. Since MNSSHP ticket holders can start entering at 4pm, can we also start riding rides then? Then at 7p when the party
:teeth:

YES! I'm still working on all our touring plans...I figured I'd really finalize them next week to build up the excitement for myself in between packing (I hate packing). We're still trying to decide, too, if we're going to do the Backstage Magic tour we signed up for...or if we want to cancel that and do a water park instead that day. And we're not spending as much time at MK as I'd like...so I dunno! :confused3 I may completely re-do our plans before I'm through! :rotfl:

For MNSSHP, last year (our first time attending), we did BTM once and held the stuff while the family and kids did it two more times...that was about 6:45pm. Once the party started, I wasted time waiting in line for Uptown Jewelers to open (they were late) to get pins, and then we had a heck of a time finding the rest of the family, so that blew almost an hour. :( We did some trick-or-treating, saw SW and the 7Ds, Hallowishes, and then more characters. I was getting Grumpy at this point because I didn't feel like we were doing what we wanted to do, so DH and I split from the family for a while. Then my camera battery died, I dissolved into tears (it was a bad night), we bought a $20 disposable camera which helped my tears, and saw a couple more characters before the night was over! Oh, and we saw the parade in there, too, LOL! I felt like we didn't have NEARLY enough time, which is why we're (a) going alone this year and (b) attending two parties!

SO - this year, we'll be there about 4:30pm, and plan to hit some rides (unless I'm in my Belle dress, in which case we won't be doing ANY rides that night, because, well, the dress won't fit :rotfl2: ) and then grab a quick CS meal. I really want to catch all the characters during the party (I collect character photos), and we'll see the parade at least twice so DH can get some good video to edit. We'll see the fireworks both nights, too. So, yes, before the party : rides -- during the party : party stuff. Does that answer the original question? :rolleyes1

I spend all my time reading this group, no time for anything else...does anyone know a Disney packing list I can check off?

I've been looking for a packing list too. I guess I will start packing on Sunday!!! On Saturday, I need to go get my hair cut and my eyebrows done, I have already gotten my hair dyed and toenails done.

What last minute things does everyone else need to do?

Okay the 4x6 photo is no longer offered, and they won't give reason why. and yes the 50% off photo is a 5x7.

We too miss the free photo, it was a great thing to get in the mail once you were home :( but they decded to get rid of it :(

PHOTOPASS CD It costs 99.00 and is a photo CD of ALL the pics you take on your trip taken ONLY BY the PHOTOPASS PEOPLE and put on your card (make sure you use only 1 card!!!) THEN it comes with a release form DIsney saying you ARE ALLOWED to print the photos off :teeth:

I read somewhere that they got rid of the free photo because that was something Kodak offered, and now that all the photos are from Disney and not Kodak, they stopped offering it. I don't know how true that it, but I guess it makes some sort of sense.

I liked the photo, too, even if they did lose ours last year and I had to call three times before we finally received it!

that's what we do! we ride the rides during normal park hours and then eat too! so we do the party all party time and for MUST DO OVER AND OVER AGAIN RIDES we do those during the party too!! we had time for everything!!!!

Erica, we should be neighbors :teeth: and then we would still spend more time on the computer chatting than face to face ::yes:: Thanks for the resume info, but DH doesn't need one, since it's the same company and same position and they already know all his info. It's just an informal meet n greet since he has interviewed with them before, but always over the phone! so this is a 'go see' kinda thing :teeth: They've been trying to get DH over there so many times, so we'll see what they have to offer this time :teeth: and then we won't tell family until after we have moved!!

I need to do my eyebrows this weekend...they've gotten out of control because I didn't want to do them too early and have to bring all the wax to re-do while on vacation! :rotfl: I got my hair highlighted & trimmed this week, but DH needs to have his cut this weekend. And it's also time to get ready to wear a swimsuit, which means the bikini line needs some attention... TMI...probably!

Other things we do right before leaving:
- fill out police request form (our local department will send a policeman by the house 3-4 times a day while we're on vacation just to check that everything looks okay)
- call ADT and let them know we're on vacation, so if they alarm goes off, they'll call the police immediately rather than trying to reach us first
- spoil our puppies rotten with treats, because they'll hate us while we're gone
- we also change the sheets on our bed the night before we leave, so we can come home to a wonderful clean bed

Yep, thanks!!!! ;) I think that sounds like a plan. 3 hours should allow some time to hit a few rides then off to the party! I would not want to waste the ticket money on doing things I can easily do with my hoppers!
Thanks for the advice!

for those POPpers driving or that will have a car, her are directions to the WDW owned and operated stores!!! it carries park merchandise! they are outlets:teeth:

If you're ever in the market for a new car, check out the Toyota Prius. I got one a year and a half ago, and I LOVE it. I average about 45 mpg (I have a short 20 minute commute daily), but we hit 52 mpg when we drove to WDW over Easter.

But I told DH if they had half the smaller, fuel efficient cars back then that they have now, I probably wouldn't have gotten the Prius, since the new cars are SOOO much cheaper!

But I love my car and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Tia, you beat me to the packing list :teeth:

i need my eyebrows done too! i'm also thinking i'm going to get my legs waked, but who knows, if i will have time!!! i have the kids all week and on saturday my parents are coming over and on sunday my MIL is coming over!!!

Thanks for the link, Michelle! I printed that out, in case we feel the urge to go shopping off-property! :rotfl:

Actually, we almost always hit the character outlet while we're down there...I got a Mickey Bear for $6 two years ago (I just love him!) and DH found a tee-shirt last year for the Navy, with the airplane he worked on on it! We never could figure out what that was doing at the Disney outlet, but he loved the shirt, and it was only like $8!

The store we want to check out this year is called Mouse Surplus. They sell actual Disney stuff, used in the parks! www.mousesurplus.com

Thnks for that! the Honda is 2006 so it will be awhile, but we get fabulous gas mileage on it and DH is a Honda Junkie!! the next new car is as soon as the van dies and he's already pushing the Oddysey dowen my throat :teeth: hahaha!!!

i really don't care, i just love my van!

alrioty-o POPpers, i'm on my way out the door now!

later!!

(still laughing about POOPERS anyone else??)
(would people look at me wierd if i took my sleeve with my and was sniffing it down the aisles at TARGET??)

LOL -- Ok, I've done enough today to push us up toward 200 pages! :rotfl2:

Time to get some work done at the office....I probably won't be back until tomorrow -- see everyone later!

Mine is a '99!! And in two more years, I get to buy a brand-spankin new one! It probably won't be silver tho. :teeth:

What year is yours and what kind of mileage does he get in it?
