A Dreamy Summer of Laughin' and Lovin'...
...Havin' a blast at Walt Disney World Resort in summer 2007
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Summer splashes onto the scene at Walt Disney World Resort with a bang and a belly laugh -- the new Monster's, Inc. Laugh Floor Comedy Club bringing down the house at Magic Kingdom while Donald Duck reprises a famous comedic movie role in the new "Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros" at Epcot's Mexico pavilion.
Meanwhile, Disney's Dream Squad will continue to patrol the parks on a mission to deliver hundreds of thousands of dreams and magical moments as part of "The Year of a Million Dreams," a first-of-its-kind event celebrating Disney Dreams and the role that Disney cast members play as dream makers. Guests are treated to an unprecedented level of guest service as cast members are empowered to create tens of millions of personal interactions and special experiences that money can't buy.
With new shows and attractions -- plus a fancy flower festival, football and "The Force!" --summer 2007 guests at Walt Disney World Resort can expect even more vacation magic.
Here's a closer look at what's in store:
Magic reigns in Monstropolis and Mexico with all-new attractions
The Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor Comedy Club (inspired by Disney-Pixar's "Monsters, Inc.") in Magic Kingdom puts Walt Disney World guests straight into the action as they help Mike Wazowski, the "Monster of Ceremonies," and his wild and crazy pals power the city of Monstropolis -- with laughter!
Mike and his buddies have transformed the Laugh Floor at Monsters, Inc. into a comedy club for visiting humans. Utilizing the latest in interactive technology, guests have the opportunity to engage in real-time conversations with Mike and his furry friends as they're called to the digital stage to trade jokes. The new interactive attraction is a one-of-a-kind comedy club where the routine is never the same and the only predictable thing is a ton of fun!
At Epcot's Mexico pavilion, "Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros" debuts (replacing "El Rio Del Tiempo") with a new storyline and film featuring Donald Duck, José Carioca (the parrot), and Panchito (the Mexican charro rooster) from the 1944 Disney film "The Three Caballeros."
The "Gran Fiesta Tour" film features an animated overlay of the caballeros being reunited for a grand performance in Mexico City. Along the way, Donald disappears to take in the sights of the country, leaving José and Panchito to search for their missing friend.
In addition to the new film, the boat ride's props, set facades and sound system have been refurbished and enhanced.
This should be interesting! hope it's open when we go!
