Ok, all, I need opinions (and I promise not to flame back if your differs from mine
). DH is graduating from college December 16 (WHOOO!!), and we had always talked about doing a 7 night Disney cruise after he graduated. (We've done two 4-night cruises and LOVED them on DCL.) The problem is two-fold...he doesn't have much vacation time, and we're probably going to move in Feb/March to Orlando if we can get jobs. So, we thought a cruise would be out for at least a year, since you can't exactly take that much time off if you're starting a new job. The other part of this situation is that DH gets 2 weeks off of work at Christmas because they close his plant down to do special cleaning (he works at a plant that makes pharmaceuticals (spelling??)).
Anyway, we got to talking, and I went out and priced the DCL 7-night New Years cruise, which for a cat-12 stateroom (the cheapest) would be just over $3000. Yes, this is expensive for a cruise, even a DCL (for comparison, we could do the same cruise at the end of Jan. for $1000 less). But, we have the room (just barely) on a credit card to do it. DH thinks its worth the extra cost because its a holiday and he wouldn't have to hassle with time off from his work, plus it'll definately be the last big thing we get to do for a while since we're job hunting.
So, should we??? I'm worried because I hate charging that much, since I know it will adversely affect my credit rating (trust me on that one), and I know that some companies use the credit rating when making hiring decisions. But, I REALLY want to go!
What do y'all think?
