Right now, my impression is not good. I was an sub for an aide for a week before christmas and when I got paid for it today I realized it was only minimum wage. I think I will tell the school secretary that I will not sub for aides anymore, only teachers. I don't think it was worth all the hassle. I was busting my butt. No offense to anyone who may find offense.

Hi again everyone! I just had to share my pure joy and excitement!!! I just came home from Disney on Ice the 100 years production and it was AWESOME!!! It gave me my fix for a bit, since I can't go on my usual January trip (usually go Jan and Sept) since DH took a job in Sept and can't take Vaca until Mar (6months)

Oh it felt soooooooo good to be in the Disney magic!!!! I wish I could go again tomorrow! Now we are counting down until we can go to Princesses on Ice in February!!!!!

So, what tix are you guys talking about? What else good is coming around??? Let me know! Oh, and nope I'm not Rhonda, it's Colleen here!

Julsmom--What's your name? I can't remember. I asked about the sub thing because I hated it. I felt no respect from the teachers or administrators, and of course no respect from the kids. I subbed for a teacher from Dec 12 to Jan 12, and this group of kids wouldn't do their work before the Christmas break. I told them if it wasn't done when they got back, they'd get a write-up. So I wrote them up and the administrator was like, so what? They'll get a bad grade, I'm not going to punish them further. Well, of course it didn't affect their grade because all I was doing with them was busy work! So the outcome is the kids learn that subs don't have any powers with write-ups either. Ugh. What's minimum wage where you are? Here its 5.15. There's no way I'd do it for that. But next year Jul 2007 it goes up to 7.15. Since I started out at 7 as a daycare director, that'd be more, so I'd do it for that!

Nanu, I was getting I think 6.75 for the aide sub. It wasn't worth it for all I had to do. But that's okay. I have a bachelor degree, but now I am a mom. You know the story. :goodvibes

I couldn't love anything more. I wish DD would stay little forever.

Hope everyone has a great New Year's! DH and I picked up a bottle of wine and a bottle of champagne yesterday. I just hope we like one of them. We can never find something that we truly love. It is our life quest I think.
