Just wanted to say how much I like this ride. It is the best "rapids" ride I have ever been on. This year was the first we had been able to ride it (last year both times we got in line it started storming) and we loved it. Not sure if we will want to get wet when we return in October though.

Is it just me or is this ride so much faster than any other raft ride. Kali rapids seems really tame compared to this!

The rapids are rougher, the ride has more interesting visual appeal and is longer than Kali. We love riding in the rain. They have let us re-ride without getting out 5 times in a row. The handicap accessible raft without a center island is the best.
One tip is to get on on raft with a full load of us fat people and see how much faster it is! October is no problem as far as cold.

When I went to IOA last November it was closed for maintenance. Haven't ridden it yet. Have to be careful of the off-season.

I'm hoping now that HHN will be in both parks, Popeye will be open in October. We weren't able to get on last year and are planning a return trip for this October.

My 4yo insisted on riding 7 times in a row (without getting off) when we were at Universal in February. He was shivering during the first ride and I was feeling so guilty bringing him on it, then he begged to do it again...and again...

Why is it I always get the most soaked of anyone everytime I ride it????????
I love it too!! My seven year old was scared to ride it for a while now he insists on riding it at least 3 times when we are there!!!
