Arggg...I've been crazy sick lately, this bites.......

We saw Wall E and Loooved it was super cute and we even took Roman. Kids liked it a lot too! Sal says it's one of his top 3 Disney Movies....I totally don't agree with him there though! hahah!!!

Now that I needed to take a small loan out just to take us to the darn movies though!

Can you believe that at my theatre the kids tickets are only like 2.00 less than the adults! And they tried to charge me for Roman and Gabriel?!!? Thank goodness I had printed out the movie times and on there they had their age policy!

After Popcorn, drinks and candy....we spent just under 50.00! phewww......

Hi gang,

Since its after midnight, offical i leave in 10 days. Guess what there are not 1 but 2 tropical depresions in the alantic, that can hit or miss flordia. Only my luck.

As for work, i work into the fire house last night for a shift and a few of the men are talking. Seems we get a new captain, i will call him capt "R" thats great i thought, i rememeber capt "R" long before he was even a lieutant and was one of us a street guy. I said he is a real good guy, friendly and nice. I got dirty looks from the rest of the men. I soon figured out why, apperantly you give someone a little power and it goes straight to thier head. This guy walked into my fire house and whitin 5 minutes chewed out 2 FDNY lieutants and then 4 of my guys and even gave me a major attitude.All this on his second day at my fire house.

This is not the nice, friendly street guy i remember. I even tried to say hello and congrad him on making captain and shake his hand, i know he remembers me, cause he called me P.J. He walked past my open hand and said " i have no time to make friends , PJ"

We had an idea, this is like 16 FDNY men, if he is to make life hard for us, then he has to go. So we disscussed it, between the 16 guys, some of us know the much higher ups in the FDNY, were talking FDNY chiefs and commishiners. We will give him a 2 week trail to adjust but if he stays on the same path, we will all pull strings to have him transfered to another fire house. This job is difficult enough with risking your neck on daily runs and Emergency calls, this is no need to add stress to a bunch of guys who are normally running on high in major stressful situations already.


All is well, i'm still upset i will miss you guys at disney, but not to worry! Soon as i make Chief of the Dept in like another 10 years, you are all invitied to my chiefs party!!

Remember that Lieutants test i took that i failed. Well i found out yesterday , 1,800 FDNY employees took the same test, only 30 actually passed. So i' still in the game.

Rumor in the FDNY has it that either they will rewrite the test and have a nother or put a curve on the test scores on this test.

The Lt's test results came in today, I have a better chance of hitting the lottery or getting struck by lightning than making Lt.

I failed the test by 10 points. I did'nt feel so bad after i learned that out of the 33 guys at my station only 1 passed it and bearly. Passing was a 75, he got a 75 exactly. Still some part of me was heart broken. I guess i will take it again in 5 years.

Hey all - I'm still here...just crazy busy...what started as painting my scrap room...has turned into...cleaning & purging every room/closet/shelf/drawer in the house !!! (hmm, think I'm a little anxious about Casey starting high school this week??? nah, I can handle it....hahahaha )

It looks like it's 29.99 for adults per night and 8.99 for children per night.

The children are totally worth it and Sal and I are trying to figure if the adults will be for us, but either way we will probably get it, because I love having the food paid for before we get there and then we will just pay out of pocket for the 2 table service places that we totally must-do
