Hi gang,

Whats doing??? I got a huge headache!!!!!!! I just took 2 excedrine mirgraine. I think i got a contractor! I will know for sure tomorrow, he is a family friend.

So at work yesterday afternoon and we get a rescue run. Someone has called 911 to report someone trapped in an elevator. we get there and sure enough the elevator alarm is going off, we do our thing and discover no one is in the elevator. We shut the power off to it, so no one can get in it and get stuck in it until the elevator repair guy shows up. We are standing in the lobby of the building and hear, "pop, pop, pop,pop" The new guys are like fire works in march, me and the captain know better. Those are gun shots we both say at exactly the same time.

We call our dispatcher for the nypd and tell her, we are fine but have shots fired right outside the building. A girl comes running in the lobby hysterical and is screaming that her little brother has just been shot. We decide to check it out, but to use caution. The shootter is long gone, what we find is a a man in his 20's shot 3 times, still alive but bearly. He is losing alot of blood.

ANyway last i heard he was rushed into surgery and will make it, sadly to stand trial. At the scene when the NYPD got there, they found large amounts of a white powder bagged up in his pockets. It laster tested postive for cocaine. The shooting victim is a coke dealer, a drug dealer. He was not an innocent bystander, the bullets were meant for him. He is dealing drugs on someones turff, meaning another drug dealer has claimed this area to deal drugs in. If someone is dealing drugs in this area, they either are working for the other guy or giving him a cut of the money. I guess this guy who was shot did not know the rules. Gotta love NYC!!!!!!!

Timmy--I never did get the CD, did it get returned? I just got a medical bill sent to me at the old address today, so its wierd the CD didn't get forwarded. The medical bill was for an insurance denial. Should've cost me no more than $60, and its costing me $185. The actual bill was for $250, but they gave me a discount, aren't they nice? It was for a stupid wart on my foot! I totally would've spent a lot more on OTC stuff if I knew it was gonna cost me $185. I'm never going barefoot again.

Hi gang,

Happy easter!!!!!!!!!! I am so stressed out. Well this guy the Contractor the "family friend" came by on friday. He said he can get the whole job done in 2 weeks time and he willing to sign a contract that if he is not done in 2 weeks, it's 50% off the bill. He has a huge company and about 80 guys that work for him, so i know he'll get the job done on time. Here's the problem he wants close to 10 grand. The place needs work, no geting around it, but this guy wants to do things we don't want done. First and formost, he wants to move the bedroom door, about 4 feet to the right, he wants to put data cable in the whole house, replace the windows and drop the celing in the bedroom and kitchen about 2 feet, to place top hat type lighting and projection lights.


We tried to explain we did'nt need all that done, but he said since were here doing the work anyway you might as have it done. It will look so much better. So chance are this guy wants to do his own thing and not our's, family friend or no family friend, this is my place and i will have done what i want done, not what he wants to do, i mean am i right?? So the search continues for a contractor, yet again. In the mean time, i had to push back a ton of other things, that cannot be done until the contract is done.

Hi gang,

For the millionth time this month, another contractor just left.now the good news, i think we found one, a good one, He is a boyfriend to dw's friend at work. Dw's friend and this guy have been together for like 10 years, just both of them don't want to get married. Anyway he just did all the measurments and heard what we need and what done, he said he will be getting back to us either by tonight or lastest tommorrow night. This is it, my last stand, if he does not work out, then i told dw, i give up!!!

Sadly dw's mom's cat passed away saturday night and then yesterday my dad calls me to tell me his dog "chance" has been diagionsed with cancer and has a mass in his stomache, the vet says it's not removeable. My dad is a mess, was crying on the phone and i had to calm him down. Chance is 9, a mix between a german shepard and golden lab. Dw's mom's cat was old and just went in her sleep, which i guess was peacefull.

Anyway i have to go in for a quick shift tonight had the last 2 days off, then the quick shift tonight and then i'm off until thursday. I will be getting a lot of the work started myself, i'm in the middle of refinishing the kitchen cabinets, which are now officaly almost done, just need a coat of the primer and then the wood finish, we picked a light cherry wood, it's really is nice. I don't want to paint them with the finish, until all the contractor stuff is done, in fear they will ruin my cabinets.

s friend at work. He starts wednesday. Out of everyone, i really trust him. Plus weve known him for a while.

dw's friend at work, boyfriend is a licensed contractor, he starts tomorrow and we have known this guy for a while. As for you, if your having problems with a contractor, call the better business bureau.
