Pop to Gaylord Palms

I just used the Mears taxi price estimator and it gave me an estimate of $18 each way for a taxi from POP to Gaylord....then it said it could be more based on route, traffic, etc.

Has anyone ever taken this route and what did it cost you?

We are wanting to see ICE at Gaylord Palms on Christmas Day (trying to avoid the mess at Disney that day). Will the fact it's Christmas Day up the rate?

It's approx 3.2 miles from Pop lobby to Gaylord Palms lobby, so I really can't see it costing $18, more like $11-$12 plus tip.
There is only one logical route (left out of Pop, left onto Osceola Pkwy, then straight to Gaylord Palms.) and there are a total of 3 lights by that route.
It shouldn't take more than 5-7 minutes at most.
If the taxi takes a right when leaving Pop he's taking the scenic route at your expense.
