We booked our trip for Jan. through a travel agent and requested the 70's building. If we want a particular room, something quieter away from the pools, should we wait until we check in or request through our agent? And if we do request before we get there, how are they at fulfilling our request? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

3 MONTHS, 14 DAYS until Disney!!!!

Have your agent call Disney and have your requests noted in your reservation. If you are general in stating an area rather than a room number most people get their requests. It all depends on the time of year, how busy the resort is, etc.

When we stayed at POP it was full to capacity. I had requested the 70's, 3rd floor, no smoking on my initial ressie. We arrived about 11 am to check in. The room we had been assigned to was not ready yet and wouldn't be for several more hours. I then asked if it was possible to get a lake view (I didn't want to put too many requests on my ressie) and she checked it out and said she had a room available immediately which was a 70's bldg, 3rd floor, lake view. So if I hadn't requested a lake view, I'm thinking we would've had to wait a few hours for the original room we had been assigned.
