Pop,POFQ.....rooms?

thinking about requests....if staying at POFQ,we'd like a quiet river view.... what do we ask for?
If staying at Pop,(we stayed for one night years ago) I liked the look of one building,it sort of faced the big lake,was away from all the hubbub,and sort of near parking. Anyone know what rooms to request to get what we'd want,if we end up staying there? I think 2nd floor is important,as overhead noise is something I'm looking to avoid also....are these room types I'm thinking of in a special category?
FWIW,if we stay POFQ,we'd take buses,if staying at Pop we'd have a car.....

I am not much help, but I wanted to say that we just got back from our first stay at POFQ and it was really great. We had a standard room but got upgraded to garden view. We were on the very first floor (which, I surprisingly loved!). I wanted to tell you how quiet that hotel was. I never heard a single noise at night, in the morning, during the day, nothing. I didn't hear anyone above us, or outside. It might just be the most quiet hotel I have ever stayed in. I thought I would share that with you because I am not sure you can really go wrong with any location at that hotel. I assumed we would be bothered with at least people above us or beside us, especially on the ground floor! But no. I didn't even hear people walking by the room and I am a VERY light sleeper. I ended up loving our room location in building 2, right across from the courtyard and being on the first floor did make it easier for us to leave in the morning with the stroller. I hope you have a great stay at POFQ!!

Glad you were happy with your room. But just so no one else gets confused, you didn't get upgraded. There is no "garden view" booking category, it's still a "standard room" as far as reservations and cost and so on. It's not like you can reserve a garden view; you can request it, but there is no way to reserve a garden view in and of itself.

At POFQ, "river view" is a separate booking category. If you really want a river view, you must reserve and pay for it. If you reserve a standard view and request a river view, your odds of getting it are low, as you're requesting a free upgrade.
