Hi, We booked bounceback for Aug.30, 3 nights at the POFQ 2adults 2 junior adults 1 day base tickets for $809. I was just crunching numbers and realized I could move to Pop and save $224. This seems significant. So, tell me the pros and cons of each resort and if you've stayed at both, which do you prefer? TIA!!:wizard:

I haven't stayed at either but when I stay at POR I go down to POFQ a lot. I guess a con might be they only have one pool (but you can use the ones at POR). I would love to stay at POFQ and had planned to last month but our reservations got mixed up and we stayed at POR instead. I like that POFQ has the option of the boat to DTD. You can walk up to POR and rent a boat. I just love PO for the layout, the choice of POR and POFQ for food, pools etc. I see a lot of families renting those bikes that they can all ride on together. The pool at POFQ is great, have you seen the pictures?

Don't know anything about the POP.

But saving $234 is a lot especially if you plan to be in the parks most of the time.

POFQ is one of my favorite resorts to stay at, at the top, there is just something about it. One of the best resorts there IMO.

Stayed at both, pop was more fun and pofq was a nicer resort. If you want a quite relaxing resort then POFQ. If you want more going on then pop. I enjoyed them both. My kids 16 & 14 loved pop.

and the dollar difference I would do Pop. I like POFQ a lot and would choose it with less of a difference. For example, we stayed at POFQ this summer for six nights. I couldn't get a AAA rate for All Stars preferred room but could for POFQ. Counting the fridge rental the difference was about $120 for the six nights. That I could easily justify. $80/night is a bit harder. In fact I kept calling back to check for preferred room availability with AAA at All Stars without luck.

One thing that is nice about POFQ is the drawback curtains in the sink area. It provides some privacy in the mornings when everyone is trying to get ready for the parks.

We originally booked POP and then changed our minds to POFQ for the extra space, but now that our DS(16) only wants to come down for a couple of days, I am having a very hard time justifying the price difference of $700 for the package!! We have stayed at POP several times and really enjoy it there. That is a lot of money especially in our case where we are in the parks as much as possible. I guess I need to call and switch our ressies back to POP. DH really wanted to stay there anyway.

Good luck with your decision!

Trish

We have stayed at both and like both a lot. We were at Pop in February and August, but are going back to POFQ in April. Usually it is just me and DD12, so the size of the rooms at POP is not a big deal. However, for 2 adults and 2 juniors, I really think I would go with POFQ for the little extra room, additional sink and the privacy curtain. I don't really think you can go wrong either place, but in your situation I'd give POFQ the nod.
