..Pop My Jibbitz!!! We Are In Disney Woild! **UPD 6/23 PG 69 #1022**

I'm a bigtime fan of zoos and AK IS A ZOO!!! All that "not a zoo" marketing drives me batty. It tends to keep zoo-people away, thinking it's just rides and animatronics. At the same time, it lures non-zoo-people in under false pretenses. Why not try a bit of honesty and let folks make their own decisions? K, hopping off the soapbox now, but thanks for bringing it up :thumbsup2

And about those snakes...... *shiver* I can't even imagine what that was like. Ugghh. What's next - a plague of locusts?

Still loving your T!

And I AM ALWAYS getting lost in AK. Not like the way I keep loosing POC at MK, but lost as in I keep walking in circles. No matter where I am going I always wind up near the McDonalds in AK, over and over and over again. So after passing McDonalds three times we finally find EE.

I know what you mean. We just got back, and I swear anytime I tried to find anything in AK, we always ended up in the EXITto KRR!

I have just found your report and am enjoying it. James is such a trooper, and you are a great Uncle.

Can't wait to hear more. popcorn::

We Gotz A Yeti To Find

Today we have to be at the AK opening. Gotta check out the new Expedition Everest. The alarm clock goes off at 6:30am, again I just smash it till it stops. The WDW resort alarm clocks are some of the most complicated pieces of machinery I have ever encountered. Also I received a call from Mickey, with a very rude Stitch interrupting. I cannot wake up pleasantly with Stitch screaming something into my ear. I go over to the sink where I keep my home brought 4 cup “cup of ambition’ maker, and wait…and wait …and wait!

I cannot stand stitch! On our September trip, I'd had just about enough of him. My family took the monorail form GF to Mk and I just couldn't stand it anymore! We got off the monorail and I gathered my family together before we walked down the ramp. I told them "here's the game plan. First we're going to frontierland to buy rifles and then it's streaight to tomorrow land where we will go on the stictch ride and shoot him....dead!"

I love my timer coffee maker! great to wake up to the scent of freshly brewed coffee (when I remember to set the machine!)

Ah relaxing at the poolside! It's always a good day when no one tries to shoot ya! (Good thing you're not Stitch!)

I don't like AK either. Except for the Lion King Show (my favorite in all of Disney) and Kali River Rapids - which I Love!

I've wandered many miles to nowhere at AK!

YUP! EE is impressive. We were there when it was being built and didn't inagine it looking like this.

I hate rollercoasters, but actually did EE last trip. Just wanted to challenge myself! It wasn't too bad. I was nervouse about the outside climb, because I am terrified of heights, but the view is so beautiful, I didn't even notice the height!
About those snakes...Woosie! ( Now you've gotta hold one next time! I triple dog dare ya!)

I've never done RPW... and now I never will :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Great kid that James is!

Ah yes, the ever popular "If you take one more picture of me I'm gonna put you in a home" look. My mother gets that whenever we are on vacation, as she sees fit to make us all stop if there is some kind of pretty scenery. I think that that is what photoshop is for.

Everytime I hear that I crack up, it was the best thing ever (near the end of vacation, and fairly late at night.) I thought she was serious for a second there (she really really really really really really really HATES Stich.)

Loved the part about the snakes. Can't wait to tell DH. He makes fun of my fear of spiders, but I had an experience similar to yours only with tarantulas when they dug up the cherry orchard by my high school. When he asks me why I make a scene with spiders, I tell him I'd like to see his face if 40 baby snakes dropped from the bathroom ceiling, or if he pulled down the sun visor and a snake fell down his shirt while he was driving (Both experiences I've had with spiders). It is only through his neurosis that he can come to understand mine. So your snake phobia is really a chick magnet. Try that story on your next date. You might get some  :love2: or even  .

Spiders! :faint: dd1 is terrified. She got bit by one a couple years ago & we spent the night before & most the day of my birthday in the ER with her getting antibiotics. :guilty:

I am just glad we are all in agreement about AK. I mean, we of course visit it everytime b/c you just have to.

Oh, and more stitch-y for me!!!! :woohoo:

Well that's at least a reasonable fear! LizzY is afraid of JELLO!

snakes?!! EEEEKKK!

Can't stand even the thought. We had someone's pet Boa Constrictor on the loose up here - I couldn't wait for winter in hopes that thing would freeze to death! Actually one of my first really bizzarre calls at work (fire dispatch) was a walk-in reporting 4 large snakes left unattended by the sidewalk down the street. I was out having a smoke at the time :smokin: (there's a reason to quit!- although I waited a while after that before quitting) so I thanked the man, sent him on his way & took off back into my little dispatch room (feet up on my chair etc!) & sent the firefighters out to look. Wouldn't ya know the Captain's fear of snakes was known to all but me! He didn't get out of the truck but there they were - 4 Boa Constrictors left outside to sun themselves. The owner took them back in as asked. Now everytime I get a bizarre animal call someone reminds me how it all began...

Love the trippie...keep it comin'!

Love the trip report, I just spent all morning reading 34 pages and loving every minute of it until I read the comment about DWHEATL having 40 baby spiders fall on her. Now I have the Heebie Jeebies. Excuse me while I go spray down my bathroom with my favorite "death to all spiders" spray.

Guess its safe to say she won't be wrestling in it anytime soon!! :rotfl2:

Spiders and snakes are the two things in this world that scare the bejeezus out of me! EEEWWWW!

When I was about 10, I was knee deep in the lake, not far from the shore, during summer camp......when a black snake swirled around my legs in a figure 8 pattern! :scared: I froze and so did every kid around me! I justr about passed out! :faint: I don't know what kind of snake it was, but I never went back in to find out! EEWWW!

Great TR!! :sunny:
