BTW, did you read my post...wwwaaayyy back about going to Caesars Pocono Palace? It was in November and boy is it really beautiful up there then, but I guess you would already know that!! I am in between Atlantic City and Philadelphia....no mountains here.

Fun update, DU. I agree. POC is so well hidden at WDW that we didn't even SEE it! I mean, we weren't looking too hard because we've been on the DL POC so many times, it wasn't a priority, but we never even got a glance at the outside! Weird, huh? Or maybe not, since you still have trouble finding it!

Can't wait to hear about the assassination attempt!

James picks up ANY “Free” maps, catalogues, brochures, ANYTHING and collects them in the back of everyone’s car. There really is NO point in trying to talk him out of it! Literally I have thrown out garbage bags filled with all these FREE useless pamphlets! He is any organized religious pamphlet giver outers dream! [/I]

You better not take James to Vegas, then. Most of the free handouts there involve women with certain body parts resembling a couple of basketballs.

Then onto my personal favorite spot in Disney, the Tomorrow Land Transportation Authority. I love this ride. I want one in my backyard. There is no better place on WDW to sit for 15 minutes, relax, get a good breeze, and enjoy the surrounding park. For those of you who have never been on the TTA, this ride really gets around! It is not some short little ride that goes in one loop. It goes in and around various attractions in Tomorrow Land, while an announcer talks to you ('Paging Mr. Tom Morrow'), from above. It is also a great way to put your feet up & relax too. However my favorite spot in all of WDW is when the TTA car takes you to see “Walt’s Disney’s City of Tomorrow” Diorama. This is Walt’s vision of what the future city will look like. This model is about 15 to 20 feet wide and about 8 feet deep; it has Skyscrapers, regular houses, Highways, parks, a Ferris wheel, Churches, etc. I love this!

I rode this on my own on the morning DH didn't come to the park and my kids rode Space Mountain over and over again. I filmed the City of Tomorrow; that was one of my dad's favorites when it was at DL. He, too, wanted to live there, and whenever we drove somewhere that involved coming over a mountain into a city at night, he would always say, "Look, it looks like the miniature city at Disneyland." I like to think that's what we all look like to him now.

Glad you got a chance to update your TR DISUNC.

Now, I have read plenty of posts about people going to Wal-Mart while in the Mudda Country...and somehow no one EVER alluded to the fact that it is FAR AWAY, it is VERY, VERY FAR AWAY. In my mind I am thinking it is about 10 to 15 minutes away. It aint! Wal-Mart is about ½ hour drive from the POP Century. I was driving and driving and driving, following the directions to the letter. James was in the back saying “Oh forget it! It’s too far away.”
“No, NO, NO, everybody on the Disboards goes there, and No one ever, NOT ONCE mentioned that it was so friggen far away.” I swear that I past a sign that read, ‘You are Now Leaving Kissimmee and entering CUBA”!! YES IT WAS THAT FAR AWAY!

Hope your rental was a Lotus like the one Mr. Bond, James Bond had. When you stay off-site (near kississimmee) it's not quite so far.

ME TOO!!!ME TOO!!! It makes me think of the Horizons Ride.

We also watched Spectromagic Parade with, as James calls them, the creepy light up clown faces. And of course Wishes!

I'm so jelous now. Spectro is my all time favorite parade/show/event at WDW.

Case in Point: DH can not resist pamphlets. Or Freebies. But Free Pamphlets!!! Sa-weet. We also have to stop at all welcome centers when crossing state lines..... for the free maps. I can tell you that this sickness grows- now when we get park maps we each have to get our own cause I don't fold mine correctly and one to be kept in pristine condition for Him and one for the scrapbook. And one for any child old enough to not need a stroller.

Anyhow, once we get off the ride and go into the gift shop James starts looking around, in that rather odd crazed way as if he MUST buy something NOW Crazed maniacal stare

. “No time for this tonight, we have ride to rides!”, where I grabbed him and pulled him out of that money pit!
