Hi! I'm trying to find a map of POP that shows where the king rooms are. We know what area we want to request in but I'm wondering about adding a request for a King room. Thanks in advance.

willcad dot org has a great collection of WDW maps and it has the Pop Century room locations map.

Not sure if I should even bother asking for the King room since there is only 6 per building. (if I'm reading the map right). Ugh, wondering if I should just leave it up to the "magic" & "pixie dust".

Wow...that's not a lot of king rooms at all. I'd LOVE to get a king room with a connecting room with 2 fulls, it would be the first time DH and I had a 'room' to ourselves in YEARS lol.

If you do not request it, the room assigner will not know you are looking for. As long as it is your only request, you may have a chance.

I'm wondering Which request would be better, a specific building/floor or. King room and hope for a good location.

doesn't hurt to request it right??? i have heard you should request your top 2. not that you can't request more, but the more you request the more difficult it is for the CM to accommodate you. think about what is most important to you. for us, we are requesting king first and then building 9 near 90's parking lot. our third request is for a high floor (3rd since there are no kings on 4th floor). for us, a king bed is the most important thing since we will be there 7 nights. we sleep in a queen at home, and there really isn't extra space. a double would be just too cramped for us (we're very tall and thick people). the location is just something we want since we're kids of the 80s, but i have heard the longest walk on POP is 8 minutes from classic hall. so location isn't extremely important to us. we want that king bed!!! :rotfl2:

I'm not sure about six king beds per building; things may have changed, but last time I calculated it was +-155 total.

Now, since that's just barely over 5% of the Pop rooms, and more than half of the king bed rooms are handicap-accessible, I would make "king bed" your only request.

Thanks for all the advice. I think I'll take my chances with location and as for a King Bed on a higher floor and see what we get. We don't mind walking since its just the 2 of us going. Ideally I'd love to be on an upper floor of the 50s building facing the lake since I heard you can see illuminations from there but I'd prefer the king on a higher floor than a view I might use one night.
