We are leaving for disney in 2 weeks.
I have read many reviews of POP and which building to stay in. I look at all the comments and I begin to wonder if we should stay here. After some careful consideration I have decided not to read anymore reviews. I am just going for it to have fun and new expereinces in Disney World. ............... I hope others feel the same way. See you at POP,,we will be the family laughing and having a great time..

And we will be the family laughing and having fun in three weeks!

Just a little over three weeks for us. I still read the POP threads but I'm very easy going and easy to please so I'm not concerned. My DH says we're "low rent". :teeth: Have a great time and post when you get back!

Go for it. I am sure you will have a wonderful time.
Disney's Value resorts have a lot to offer. I wish they didn't call them value because some people equate that with cheap. They are in no way cheap.
I have not stayed at Pop, but I have stayed at the ::MinnieMo All stars 4 times and I love it there.
The rooms are clean, The CMs are friendly and helpful, the food court has many choices, there is a fabulous gift shop, the pools are large and a lot of fun,and most of all the buses are wonderful.
Those huge icons are so Disney! You will be staying where the magic is.
Have fun at Disney!
Linda ::MinnieMo

I like what Honey Pooh said "low rent " makes me think of what my mother said.

I bought a house in a subdivison, in the back is the smaller house's (thats me) the bigger house are in front, she says the bigger houses are where the boss's live and we the smaller house's are the field hands.. :rotfl: (it made me laugh, as you can tell she grew up in the country...

but anyway........back in May 2004 I stayed at the CR with a tower view of the MK it was great, but in Oct 2004 me and my 12yr old son stayed at POP we had a blast and i had NOT one issue.

brooke :flower:

This is our first stay at POp Century and on site and it sounds like a really fun place, looking forward to it...We will be the couple laughing tomorrow... :sunny:

I'll be there next month! I'm so excited! :cool1:

Well said!!! DH and I will be there in January for 3 weeks. Oh yeah I'm dancing. :rotfl:
I decided to stay at Pop for a lot of different reasons. I'm going to Disney to spend time with my DH in the parks, having a great time.
Please post when you return. I hope you have an awesome time. :wizard:

we just came back from POP, we were evacuated from Hurricane Katrina, we had the perfect room, room #3129. It was in the 50s section, 1st floor, facing the lake (perfect location). It was in an extremely quiet section of the resort, just thought that might help anyone going.....

Hi I have just started reading dis boards and now I am sorry that I didnt discover them earlier. We will be in WDW on Sept 18-25. I have been there several times and so has DH> DS was there at 4 months old but you could say this is his first trip. He thinks we going to visit relatives elsewhere. We will surprise him at airport. I can hardly wait. I think the Pop sounds great for the $. I have never stayed at a Disney property. Does any one have any ideas about little surprises that I could do for my DS? THanks and have a great time to all the people going soon!! Also I wanted to know what are the MM stickers in the windows that everyone seems to be looking for?

We are going back to Pop October 1-9. We decided to try it last year in Novermber and it was great. We have three kids and we got the 2nd room for the kids and it worked out great. They had their TV and we had ours and we had 2 bathrooms. We stayed in the 80's and 90's section pool view and we loved it!! We wanted to stay in the 50's section but there were no rooms available, but it worked out great.
This year there will be 11 of us (talk about needing pixie dust!) :crazy2: and my kids are hoping to stay in the same section. I am more than happy to stay at Pop because for us it means the difference of going back to Disney World every year or not and nobody would stay offsite and miss all of the magic of staying onsite. I think Pop is great. You'll have a great time!! :wave2:
:disrocks:

We will be the happy, laughing family in 2mo & 3wks. Its our first time @ the PC. We had planned on staying @ the ASSP ( stayed there last time and liked it) but through AAA ,PC was even cheaper. Since we truly spend little time in our room, I'd rather put the $ towards something else! Hope all of you have great trips !!!!!!!!!!!1 :goodvibes

We will be there also in two weeks, and it is our first time staying at POP Century. Decided to go with two rooms at POP instead of one room at the moderates. Flying out on September 23rd. Let the laughing begin. :rotfl2:

I'll be at the POP in a couple of weeks too! Looking forward to it. I have stayed off site then bought into DVC, so I am apprehensive. The place looks really cute and themed so DISNEY, but the rooms do look small. With free dining this is an extra trip on the cheap so...It is just my college senior DD and myself. It looks like a motel with the door leading outside correct?
The food courts look good, some counter service meals can be for breakfast especially the day we come home and have to leave for the airport at 11. All and all it will be fun. I just hope we don't gain so much weight with all the food we don't fit into the room! :rotfl:

I just booked Pop for December 15-22, 2006. This will be an all girls trip, with my DM, DD 22, DD 17 and myself. My mom hasn't been there since the seventies, so this will be a nice surprise for her. We have stayed onsite 3 other times, twice at the Fort Wilderness Homes, and once at the Boardwalk. But with two kids in college, we just can't afford to stay at anything onsite other than the values. We are easily pleased, and are just so excited to be there during the holidays. Also, staying at the Pop allows us to do other things, such as dinner shows, etc. I am excited....but shhh! my daughters and Mom don't know yet!

:earboy2: :teacher: princess: pirate: :cheer2:

We'll be at POP in 12.5 weeks (12.5 weeks sounds sooner than 98 days). This will be our first time there. I was planning on a deluxe this trip, but I was also planning on a code. It doesn't matter, we'll have such a blast at POP!! We can't wait!!

Mary

Mary,

Hi Neighbor, we are in Indiana. We will be down there December 17th through December 26. This is our first time to POP. Normally, we stay at the deluxes. Trying to save some money and dont know how we will like it but even the lower end Disney hotel is better than the best Hyatt. A few years ago, we stayed at the movies and loved it.

Marla :smooth:

I can't wait to stay ay POP! I have been trying to save up for a trip since we got back from our last trip in '03. POP is new and it looks like fun, I'm sure the kids will love it ;) . We just have one problem though, DH is in Iraq and he is awful jealous that he doesn't get to go :guilty: .

Hi you mentioned free dining. I was wondering where you booked your vacation that you received that? I would appreciate the info. Thanks alot. Have a great time.
